Guests arriving at this self-catering holiday accommodation in Southwold will make use of the unrestricted parking outside the apartment, and will then enter via the front door into a hallway shared with the apartment above, once through the front door to Spindrift the spacious sitting room, double bedroom and kitchen diner can all be accessed – the shower room lies beyond the kitchen, where there is also access to the courtyard garden.

GROUND FLOOR: From Stradbroke Road arriving guests will be sheltered by the external porch while opening the door to the entrance hall, which is shared with the upstairs apartment – once inside the apartments front door, guests will come into the hallway connecting the sitting room, bedroom and kitchen/diner.

SITTING ROOM: The sitting room has two large windows overlooking Stradbroke Road there are 2, 2-seater sofas, and a bucket chair all arranged around a non-working fireplace with an atractive hearth, a 26" Sony Smart TV with BBC iPlayer, Sony DVD player and Panasonic CD/Radio/MP3 player with iPod dock.

BEDROOM: The bedroom has a double bed and features glass french doors that open into the courtyard garden. There are two bedside tables, a large built-in wardrobe, a bucket chair, and an ornamental fireplace.

KITCHEN/DINER: There is a table seating four with leather high back chairs and an Sony FM/AM radio with iPod dock in the light dining area, which is mostly open plan in with the kitchen. The kitchen has two sides – one with a sink and dishwasher and the other with the integrated Neff four-ring electric hob and integrated Neff electric oven. In the dining area is a small counter space with a microwave and an integrated fridge with a small freezer compartment, another small counter space area houses a washing machine.

SHOWER ROOM: This room has a square shower cubicle in the corner, a hand basin and a W.C.

OUTSIDE: There is a courtyard back garden, which runs from the bedroom along the kitchen/diner and extends past the shower room and can be accessed from the bedroom or from a small hallway between the kitchen and shower room, where there is to be found, a table and chairs for two. To the front of the property is a small planted garden and the pavement along Stradbroke Road. There is unrestricted on-road parking usually available outside the property on Stradbroke Road and further parking on near-by side streets.

The kitchen area, shower room and small hallway between the two has tiled flooring, while the dining area has wood flooring, and the sitting room, bedroom and main hallway are carpeted

The sandy beach is adorned with a string of colourful beach huts that lead along to Southwold Pier at one end and towards Southwold Harbour at the other end.

Southwold boasts several excellent pubs and restaurants as well as a range of independent shops and galleries. There is a pretty walk through the harbour and over a footbridge to the picture-postcard village of Walberswick, home to two good pubs (The Anchor and The Bell) and a long sandy beach.

Fresh fish can be bought from the fish huts along the harbour. Southwold is home to the Adnams Brewery and the Town’s excellent pubs, including one of our personal favourites, The Lord Nelson – where you can try a range of Adnams bitters.
