This lovely cottage, tucked away in a tranquil spot with large garden next to fields yet minutes from the coast, has recently been renovated, furnished and equipped to a superb standard for guests to enjoy with family and friends.
The owner of Ash Tree Cottage is an artist and designer which is apparent in the artefacts and attention to detail throughout the cottage. There’s a welcoming entrance hall with the bright and well equipped open plan kitchen/dining room to one side and lovely light and airy living room to the other, with double doors opening to the garden for summer months and wood burner to keep the chill off in the winter. The contemporary bathroom is at the foot of the stairs and there's a designer shower room at the top plus a cloakroom near the back door. Both bedrooms are beautifully decorated and furnished – one with a king-size bed and the other a zip and link giving the option of twin or double configuration.
Ash Tree Cottage sits well back from the main road and has ample off road parking for three cars. There's a large raised patio at the front of the cottage where you can enjoy meals al fresco and the garden wraps around the house so you can follow the sun and watch it set over the adjacent fields. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PATIO HAS BEEN EXTENSIVELY RENOVATED AND NEW PHOTOS WILL BE ADDED IN THE SPRING.
Set well back from the Aldeburgh Road with a private lane and drive leading to a parking space for two cars and views over the fields at the back, the cottage has a large garden, mostly laid to lawn with mature trees and shrubs, which wraps around – allowing you to enjoy the sun throughout the day.
Guests are welcomed into a light entrance hall with wooden floors, stairs rising to the first floor and doors to the kitchen/dining room, living room and family bathroom.
This sunny double aspect room is beautifully furnished in a contemporary style with a large sofa and couple of arm chairs positioned for guests to enjoy the wood burning stove or watch the wall mounted TV. At the other end is a desk and chair with extra chairs positioned opposite the French doors giving far reaching views to the fields.

Second bedroom This classy bedroom has a zip and link bed, allowing you to choose between twin or super king configuration. There are bedside tables, a chair, chest of drawers, large wardrobe and window in the eaves overlooking the fields at the back and the garden to the front.
OutsideAsh Tree Cottage sits back from the Aldeburgh Road, accessed by a driveway leading to a parking area to the side of Ash Tree Cottage. The secluded garden wraps around the cottage allowing you to move around with the sun. The large front garden is mainly laid to lawn with mature trees and shrubs, bordered by fencing and hedging; there’s a large semi-circular raised patio giving access to the front door. At the side and back are additional paved areas with a table and chairs for you to relax and enjoy the countryside.
Please note: The rear patio and garden has been extensively renovated and new photos will be added in the spring 2017; there's a large sunny patio bordered by lavender with table, chairs and parasol for outside dining. The front garden is primarily laid to lawn and a great place for ball games or a game of catch!

Aldringham is a popular village with a successful public house, The Parrot and Punchbowl, which is mid way between the seaside town of Aldeburgh and resort village of Thorpeness, giving a wide choice of restaurants, independent shops, cafes and public houses. The larger town of Leiston, is also a short drive away and offers very good local shopping and amenities including a cinema, supermarket, leisure centre with public indoor swimming pool and range of other local and national shops.
The Suffolk Heritage Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Ash Tree Cottage stands in a pretty location close to the North Warren Nature Reserve where footpaths lead to the beach stretching between Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. There is a branch line rail service at nearby Saxmundham with connections via Ipswich to the Inter-City line to London Liverpool Street.
