The property

You know you're somewhere special as you approach The Bothy down a short cobbled path under a pergoda with gate and hand woven willow fence concealing the property. The front door leads straight onto the bright and cosy open plan living/kitchen dining area, with natural light spilling in from the wall of glass with French doors and skylights. The bedrooms opens off the living space with chic shower room beyond and hard flooring throughout with rugs. The wonderfully private patio, fondly known by the owners as the G&T patio, is an ideal place to unwind in the sun and watch the sunset over the paddock beyond, which features a 1920s era petrol pump, with its artistic qualities it has been nicknamed as the "Hambling." Living/Kitchen/Dining Area A sociable space which has been cleverly designed with the kitchen running against one wall housing an under counter fridge, slimline dishwasher. electric oven, microwave, ceramic hob and counter top freezer. The sitting area has a two seater sofa and arm chair, positioned so you can enjoy the view, the warming wood burner or watch the telly with DVD player. If you enjoy dining in your holiday home there's a table and couple of chairs, with ample crockery and cuttlery in the dresser. Bedroom A beautiful herringbone wool throw covers the king size bed with bedside tables, a chair and wardrobe with hanging and drawer space for your clothes. Sun streams in through the window in the mornings. Shower Room This modern shower room has a double walk in shower cubicle, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Outside The property is on the Snape Hall estate. There's ample guest parking and a cobbled path takes you through the wisteria covered pergola to the little Bothy gate opening into your romantic retreat. A willow fence winds round to the entrance with bench by the door where you can enjoy your morning coffee under the bedroom window in the sunshine. The south facing patio, furnished with a table and chairs, is a wonderful spot to relax with a good book with just the wildlife in the paddock for company! The Bothy is located next to The Nookery, the other cottage available for holiday letting, and would be ideal to book in conjunction with for breaks with friends. Previous guests have noted the sound of a cuckoo coming from the wood and nesting Barn Owls in the evenings.
