The original cottage, thought to date from the 18th century, has a hall with ample space for storing outdoor gear and a charming sitting room with open fire and French doors opening to the patio.  Two bedrooms and family bathroom are on the first floor, the master boasting period features and far reaching views of the river and sea beyond, and a quirky double room with bed set into the alcove.  Steep stairs lead to the third bedroom with beams and sloping ceiling in the attic.

A key feature of this self-catering cottage is the extension – designed by award winning local architect, Hugh Pilkington, it has a gently curving, fully glazed elevation under a zinc roof ,where rain water runs down creating a waterfall effect for guests relaxing in the well equipped kitchen/dining room.
