This comfortable and quirky holiday cottage, dating back to the 1500’, has been lovingly restored retaining immense character with masses of beams and original features like the large Suffolk Landing with a unique built in Breton bed, to provide unobtrusive luxury for family and friends to feel ‘at home in’.
There’s an impressive dining room with lots of ancient oak beams, a cosy reading ‘snug’ area and double doors to the large and well equipped kitchen which leads round to the sunny garden room. The large sitting room on the ground floor has lovely ancient beams and a massive Inglenook fireplace with comfortable sofas to relax. The three bedrooms on the first floor can easily accommodate six guests with two doubles and two built in Breton beds (one on the landing) which are fun for two little guests or one larger!
A lovely little Victorian Wash House has been cleverly converted to contain a four person Sauna with a shower, toilet and wash basin. The back garden of Oakleys has a sun trap patio for breakfast, leading through to a pretty orchard with a BBQ area with seating under a rose covered Pergola. The drive at the front sets the semi-detached cottage back from the road with enough space for three cars to park.
