UNDY 500: Day 3

From Copenhagen to Stockholm

Day 3 of the Arctic Challenge begins with Alex and Simon and their trusty banger waking up in Copenhagen.  Leaving the stunning scenery and sunny weather behind they are bound for Stockholm The plan is to make good time, and have a rare opportunity to explore the city properly, rather than just racing through.

Leaving Copenhagen means crossing 7.5 miles of water over to Malmo, Sweden’s third largest city.  First they entered the tunnel over to an artificial island before being able to enjoy the views as they crossed the impressive bridge!

As of 10am they were well on their way (they are the blue car, at the front)!

A few hours later, they had made it to Stockholm and their floating hotel!
With time to explore, they visited ‘Vasa’, a Swedish warship which sank on her maiden voyage in 1628!  Hopefully their hotel boat is better built!
They still had time to enjoy the views across Stockholm….

…before cooling off in the world’s first permanent ice bar, at a chilly -7 degrees!  Fur lined bin liner, anyone?!
