It has been another brilliant year of Quality in Tourism ratings for Best of Suffolk holiday cottages. Congratulations to all our property owners who took part in the inspections.
From the beginning Best of Suffolk has stood for consistently high standards in their stylish properties, meaning guests can be confident in the quality of the cottages they book.
Many property owners seek the additional badge of recognition which Visit England gives through their rigorous award scheme. Acting as a reliable regulatory body for the accommodation and tourism industry, Visit England recognise quality, differentiate levels of facilities and services and make potential guests aware of what they can expect before they make a booking.
Particular congratulations this year go to the owners of Knottebu who went from being a 5 Star property to a 5 Star Gold and St Michael’s View for achieving a Quality in Tourism 5 star Gold Award for the fourth consecutive year,
St Michael’s View is a beautifully presented and recently built spacious house, situated in a quiet location in the pretty and popular village of Peasenhall in east Suffolk. The House is ideal for families with accommodation including three bedrooms, an en-suite shower room and a family bathroom; with a large kitchen, separate dining room and spacious living room in which to enjoy leisurely dining and relaxation in front of the wood burning stove.
The words of a happy customer say it all – “As homely as a favourite sweater, as comfortable as Mum’s cooking, as swish as a luxury pad, as well thought out as a bank heist. Fab accommodation, great attention to detail…Practically perfect in every way.”
Another of the many award winning holiday properties in our portfolio is Yew Tree Barn Farm, a contemporary conversion of a historic Suffolk barn, set deep in the Suffolk countryside in the quiet and rural village of Worlingworth. The barn conversion, completed in 2011, takes the best of the old – the historic beams and plasterwork – and the new – an exciting layout, contemporary fittings and under floor heating – to create a fabulous, high quality retreat to relax in or use as a base to explore Suffolk. The original threshing floor has been lovingly restored and is a real feature of the kitchen area.
