Summer in Suffolk!

Wow what a beautiful summer we have been enjoying in Suffolk!

The team have been out enjoying all that Suffolk has to offer on their weekends, here are just a few snippets of what they have been up to!

1) Heveningham Hall Car show.

This summer saw the third Heveningham Concours, held At Heveningham Hall, a stone’s throw from the Best of Suffolk HQ in Badingham. Several team members attended, this account is from Best of Suffolk founders Alex and Naomi. It was such a joy to see a world class event, staged on our doorstop, involving some 100 of the most special cars around and a very interesting selection of aeroplanes, all in the beautiful setting of Heveningham Hall.

2) Summer evenings in Thorpeness and Aldeburgh.

Over the summer months you have to make the most of the beautiful summers evening and Thorpeness and Aldeburgh are perfect for these!

Hannah was able to capture these images before the sunset, there is something quite magical about watching the swans glide across the still water!

3) Southwold

What a summer it has been in Suffolk, we really have been treated with amazing weather!

Claire who is part of our Finance team took advantage of the weather and enjoyed a day in Southwold, making the most of those crystal blue skies!

Southwold over the summer really is quite a special place to be with a fantastic atmosphere! I don’t think we could ever get tired of those skies over the sandy beach!

4) Covehithe

One of Suffolk’s best kept secrets! This hidden gem really should be on your places to explore!

It has one of Suffolk’s most beautiful beaches that can only be accessed on foot or by cycle. Not an icecream seller or facilities in site that makes this a beautiful secluded spot.

Once upon a time Covehithe would have been a lot larger before the cliff erosion, the original Church is quite a spectacular site, the new thatched church has been cleverly built within the walls of the ruins of the original.

5) Alex’s walk Aldeburgh to Southwold.

The founder of Best of Suffolk, Alex Tarry has been busy enjoying what has to be one of Suffolk’s most beautiful walks! Beginning in Aldeburgh he set off to Southwold. The journey took him through Thorpeness, Sizewell, Dunwich and Walberswick, some of Suffolk’s beautiful beaches!

Along his journey he even spotted a Morris tribute made out of pebbles!

What more could you want than getting to enjoy some of Suffolk’s best coastal areas all in one day!
