Woodland Lodge at Aldeburgh

You’re welcomed into a wide entrance hall with the open plan living space sitting to one side comprising a light and airy dining/kitchen, leading through to the living area with additional utility room at the back. Three stylish bedrooms furnished in calming colours sit to the other side with an en suite shower room, chic family bathroom and additional cloakroom.

The garden wraps all around the house, fully fenced and mostly laid to lawn with a super sunny patio at the front furnished with a stylish rattan table and chairs. There's a drive to a double gate opening onto the private gravel drive where there's ample parking for three cars.

Ground Floor
There’s under floor heating under the hard floor throughout Woodland Lodge. The kitchen and bathrooms have tiled floors and the rest of the house is wood floors with some attractive rugs.

Entrance Hall
The front door opens into a porch with hooks for coats and space for shoes, leading through to the wide hallway with doors to the kitchen/dining room, three bedrooms, cloakroom and family bathroom.

Kitchen/Dining Room
A beautifully light and airy kitchen/dining room with U shaped units and dresser stocked with crockery, glassware and cutlery to one side and handsome dining table with bench and four leather chairs. Bifold doors open the length of the dining area onto the patio giving a wonderful indoor/outdoor lifestyle.

The chef of the family will be happy in this well-equipped kitchen with a Nexus Rangemaster with two full sized ovens and separate grill; a five gas ring hob, wok cradle accessory and gridle plate; extractor; big fridge; three drawer freezer; dishwasher; built in microwave at eye level and Dualit coffee machine.

Off the kitchen with door to the garden so ideal for coming home from the beach with swimming gear as there’s a washer dryer and second sink

Living Room
A lovely room at any time of the year with double doors opening onto the garden and a wood burning stove with a modern twist to keep the chill off cooler months. Two comfy sofas invite you to relax and watch the 42” wide screen TV with BT channels (including sport), Home Theatre System and BlueRay Disc/DVD Player.

A frosted window gives natural light, there’s a double shower with rain shower head and hand shower, WC, wash basin set into a vanity unit and heated towel rail.

Guest Bedroom
Decorated in calming neutral tones this bedroom, with double doors to the garden, has a double bed, bedside tables, large chest of drawers and wardrobe with additional drawers.

Twin bedroom
Sunny room with twin beds, bedside cabinets and bags of storage space in the chest of drawers and wardrobe.

Woodland Lodge sits back from the road down a drive with gates and parking for three cars (one in the garage and two on the drive). A large patio, furnished with stylish rattan furniture, runs along the front of the holiday house with grass at the sides and footpaths running down both sides of the house to the secluded back garden which is laid to lawn and fully enclosed – ideal for ‘little guests’!. There’s a gate from the back garden onto the footpath which runs from the Aldeburgh golf club down to town.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This detached single storey self-catering holiday home is equipped with gas central heating and appliances include a 42" TV with BT channels (including sport), Home Theatre System, BlueRay Disc/DVD Player and Wifi. The kitchen is well equipped with a Nexus Rangemaster with two full sized ovens and separate grill; a five gas ring hob, wok cradle accessory and gridle plate; extractor; big fridge; three drawer freezer; dishwasher; built-in microwave at eye level and Dualit coffee machine; there's also a washer/dryer in the utility room and a BBQ for outdoor use.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

This Suffolk holiday home is located close to Aldeburgh Golf Club, set back from Saxmundham Road, running into this picturesque seaside town. There's a gate from the back garden onto a footpath which runs down to the beach and the heart of the town, approximately a 15 minute walk, where you'll find excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes and a wide range of independent shops, convenience stores, art galleries and huts along the beach where local fishermen sell their wares.

The picture-postcard village of Thorpeness and world renowned Snape Maltings are also great places to visit nearby. The area is excellent for cycling, sailing or golf and there are many interesting walks, including Hazelwood Marshes and the Sailors’ Path which starts approximately ten minutes walk from the house and boasts some of the finest lowland marsh and heathland scenery to be found in the British Isles.

No smoking, or unaccompanied teenagers.

One small/medium well-behaved dog is welcome. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking (not allowed on furniture or in bedrooms.)

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
