A path runs down the side of the property to the patio with raised flower bed and another down the other side to the bedroom window. There is one allocated parking space and additional parking available at the castle if needed for a minimal charge.

This detached holiday property is in a wonderful position just minutes from the ‘English Heritage’ Norman castle and equidistant between the mraket square and the quay so you can choose to walk towards or away from civilisation.
The village has a fantastic choice of places to eat and drink, including The Trinity at the Crown and Castle, the Kings Head pub, the Butley Oysterage, the Jolly Sailor and a café by the quay with lovely views over the river. If you are eating in, good food can be purchased in the village from an award-winning butchers, Richardson’s Smokery, the Pump Street bakery, Pinneys and also the Village Stores.
Orford is on the River Ore and boasts a working river quay that serves sailors, fishermen and sightseers. Across the river is the National Trust’s Orford Ness, the site of mysterious research projects in the 1950’s and 60’s but now a nature reserve, Havergate Island, managed by the RSPB and river trips to visit it can be booked from Orford Quay.
There is additional parking at the Castle for a minimal charge per day.
The Wood Store is a detached property next to another holiday let, Keep Cottage, there are two parking spaces, one per property and each property has its own private garden. Whilst the garden for this self-catering holiday cottage is private it isn't fully enclosed so dogs will need to be supervised.
You'll probably have noticed that the accommodation is single storey so suitable for guests with a mobility problem as there are no steps internally, however there is a step to the front door and down to the patio where there's room to sit and relax however there are a few steps up to the main garden.
A well-behaved dog is welcome. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking and must be supervised outside as the garden is not enclosed and the road is adjacent.

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer.
