Dine - Embrace your inner foodie!
With a team of chefs (and a black book of suppliers), Sibton Estate offers everything from locally sourced home-cooked food to fine dining in the grand central hall with menus agreed beforehand, wines chosen from the estate cellar and all your dietary requirements catered to. For a touch of romance, start with cocktails facing the lake and end with a tipsy game of chess by the fire and late night bacon sandwiches.
When the weather permits - as the sun sets on a memorable day enjoy drinks and deep chats as someone stokes the BBQ in the stunning private walled garden for some locally sourced lamb, platters heaving with salads, followed by melted Suffolk Stilton.
Family and friends can reunite over breakfast with fresh bread, organic eggs and plenty to choose from in the well-stocked fridge and, if you'd like a seasonal picnic t'll be ready for you in the fridge.
Ps. Catering must be ordered a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your stay.
For fun-filled days of activities there's no better place than The Walled Garden – from row boats on the lake to valley hikes and picnics in the meadows, there’s not a dull moment on the estate. Active family members use the gym, create masterpieces in the kitchen; take bike rides on Pashley bikes provided; enjoy some wild water swimming or a relaxing dip in the hot tub; grab one of the paddle boards or a row boat and explore the lake or, for something more leisurely catch a fish or two; challenge family and friends to a game of tennis or, for larger groups, try your hand at clay pigeon shooting and, when the day is done, simply kick back in the cinema room, then regroup over hearty meals in grand dining rooms or outdoor BBQs on the terrace. The Sibton Park estate is one of the most prestigious estates in the country so you may well choose to spend quality time together and enjoy all the acitivites available on your doorstep - borrow one of the Pashley bikes and take a ride around the estate where you don’t need to worry about traffic; take a trip on the rowboats on the lake or just laze by the swimming pool for the afternoon. You can send 'little guests' off for a Teddy Bear’s picnic with an afternoon of stories in nature.
Sibton is within easy reach of the Suffolk Coast with picturesque towns of Aldeburgh, Southwold, Walberswick (well know for crabbing and ideal for building sand castles!) and Dunwich just a short drive away. There are lots of sports to enjoy - sailing, golf and horse riding to name a few or, for the historian in the family, visit the market town of Framlingham and enjoy a tour round the impressive Norman castle.
The ultimate destination in which to escape. Just a couple of days of down time, a chance to get active in nature, or cosy up to fires with hot chocolate. Gather all the family together or a crew of friends for a big weekend, for a decadent short break or holiday where you can make memories to last a lifetime.
Wilderness Reserve is only two hours from London by train to Darsham station and around 2.5 hours by car. Make the trip yourself down the impressive gravel drive with the lake glistening with Sibton Park Manor as the backdrop.
Food and Drink
The Walled Garden has a state of the art kitchen to create feasts in. But if you’d rather leave it to someone else, Sibton Parks chefs are happy to create anything – from formal feasts to little picnics for you and your guests.
We wouldn’t want you to leave your poor dog at home, bring them on a pet / dog friendly holiday! There’s plenty for them to do with thousands of acres to roam, and estate staff to keep a friendly eye on where they roam to.
When booking, confirm which creature you want to bring and – lions or hippos aside – we’ll do our best to accommodate. And, if you need to bring a minder, there’s space to host then separately or in your accommodation. We can also offer staff to look after your pets when you are enjoying your down time or meals.
Make the most of our babysitters and guardians, to ensure little ones are safe and happy when you’re not around. Enjoy the kitchen support with estate cooks, as well as family itineraries to keep you all busy.
