The Stables is a single storey holiday cottage with a double and twin bedroom. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area is super for families and friends looking for tranquil but social retreat in the countryside.
From parking in the allocated parking space you'll find The Stables is second on the left. Through the front door from the courtyard, enter into the kitchen space with living area beyond. The double bedroom is to the left of the kitchen and the twin is beyond the bathroom off the inner hall.
This super open plan space with lots of windows is being furnised with two sofa's on which to relax and a flat screen TV with DVD player for your entertainment. There's a pine coffee table and another nest of tables for drinks and games. Onwards towards the kitchen is a round table with four chairs, perfectly placed for enjoying meals in or chatting with the chef of the group.
The kitchen is equipped with an undercounter oven and grill with ceramic hob above. There's an integrated dishwasher and a large free standing fridge with four drawer freezer beneath. The kitchen is currently being upgraded and new photos will follow when complete.
A bright double aspect bedroom with double bed in the centre between bedside drawers and lamps. There's an ensuite WC with hand basin off the double bedroom, a chest of drawers and hanging facilites.
Full of character, the twin bedroom has exposed oak beams and window to the rear. There are two standard size single beds in this room with bedside drawers and lamps with a chest of drawers and a wardrobe for further storage.
A practical bathroom with bath and shower over, WC and basin.
The Stables has a courtyard space at the front with table and chairs for alfresco dining. It's open at the front so dogs will need to be kept on a lead, but there is a footpath leading from the driveway around the farm heading towards the village. There is an unfenced pond on the farm as you walk down the footpath. Allocated parking for one car is available but if you need more, please contact the office and we can arrange with the owner for you.

The village of Polstead is located in South Suffolk not far from the Essex / Suffolk boarder. The village its self has a welcoming local pub called The Cock Inn which is a shot walk through ancient woods and fields from Sprotts Farm. Just a little further past the pub is a large playing field with children’s play equipment and a skate park.
For days out the historic town of Colchester is less than 30 minutes drive and with large shopping centres, independent shops, cafes, restaurants and a castle there’s plenty to do. Don’t miss the fantastic Zoo and leisure centre, which are both fabulous for children and adults.
You’re also close to Dedham Vale, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The characteristic lowland English landscape made famous worldwide by artists such as Constable and Gainsborough is still recognisable today. The charm of the villages, fascinating local attractions and beauty of the surrounding countryside mean there’s no shortage of places to go and things to see.
If you're after a day out at the seaside then Frinton on Sea is perfect for groups of adults and young families. Less than an hour away there are clean sandy beaches, lots of parking and plenty of green spaces for playing and picnics.
A well behaved dog is welcome. Please provide the breed of your dog at the time of booking.
There is a large pond in the garden beyond the fence from the footpath which leads to the village through woodland and fields. There is a fence but it's post and rail so please be vigilant with dogs and children.
The courtyard is separated by trellis from the neighbouring courtyard and open at the front which has a little lawn beyond the path.
