Aldeburgh is a very popular seaside town for traditional holidays and short breaks and The Red Brick House a semi-detached house tucked away in a pedestrianised street just off Aldeburgh High Street. Just a short walk away from a wide range of additional shops, boutiques, galleries, an independent cinema, restaurants, cafes, pubs and hotels, as well as the long stretch of shingle beach with promenade bordered by the iconic colourful seaside houses, and the fisherman’s huts where you can buy fresh seafood, are just a few yards away.
The well known Town Steps, which ascend just outside the front door, were built at the end of the 18th century to link the centre of Aldeburgh to housing at the top of the hill; and you can generally find parking on The Terrace of one of the other roads at the top of the steps.
Renowned for its cultural history, guests can enjoy a range of activities in the town and at nearby Snape Maltings, with the Annual Festival for Music, art exhibitions, literary and poetry festivals.
There are stunning sea and landscapes to be enjoyed on walks around the lowland marsh close to the cottage, heathland and the coastal path to Thorpeness with opportunities for sailing, golfing and cycling locally.

We’d suggest you park on The Terrace at the top of the Town Steps where on-road parking is free of charge, but when you first arrive you might like to park in the short stay spaces on the High Street to unload your car
