The Pink House at Southwold

You’re welcomed into an elegant hallway with large living room to the right and the exceptionally well equipped and spacious kitchen/dining room at the far end, which lends itself to relaxing with friends and family. There’s also a utility and cloakroom on the ground floor. Accommodation is spread over two floors with a charming master bedroom with sea view and en suite shower room, three twins and two king size bedrooms; all are a good size and individually furnished. The shower room on the first floor has a simply enormous walk in shower and there’s a modern bathroom on the top floor.

The Pink House is set back, with a narrow front garden, from Chester Road where there is unrestricted off road parking on a first come first served basis.

There’s a sunny south facing enclosed courtyard patio garden with chairs making it a wonderful spot to relax in the sea air. Double doors open from the kitchen/dining room and there’s another door from the utility room, plus a gate giving access to a path leading round the side of the house – ideal for access from the beach.

Ground floor:
You’re welcomed into a long hallway with Victorian style mosaic floor tiles. The carpeted stairs rising ahead of you, the living room to your right and the kitchen at the back of the house.

Kitchen/Dining Room
This state of the art open plan kitchen is sure to be the hub of your holiday – ideal for socialising with friends and family over long lunches round the large table, with French doors opening onto the secluded patio making it perfect for outdoor dining or for little guests to play outside.

There’s a central island housing the butlers’ sink and dishwasher with three bar stools to perch on with a wall mounted TV behind. A bench seat in one corner gives additional seating and the office, tucked into the other corner, allows guests to do a spot of work if needed.

Bespoke units run along two walls giving ample space for crockery, glassware and your groceries, and housing every appliance you could wish for – double fridge and two drawer freezer, electric double oven at waist height, warming drawer, five ring induction hob with extractor and two large drinks drawers.

Utility/Boot Room
Off the kitchen with washing machine, dryer, butler’s sink. There’s ample space to store boots, coats and outdoor gear with a door to the patio making it easily accessible.

Living Room
A beautiful big room with wooden floor, bay window looking onto Chester Road and modern log effect gas stove. There’s plenty of space for all the family to relax – an oversized sofa, three armchairs, foot stool and floor cushions for the kids; there’s also a Welsh dresser stacked with games, books and puzzles to amuse you and a small desk. Entertainment is provided with a large wall mounted TV, DVD player and Sonos music system.

With WC and wash basin.

First Floor
Stairs rise from the entrance hall to the first floor landing with doors to the master bedroom, toilet, king and twin bedrooms plus the large shower room; all bedrooms are carpeted.

Master bedroom
Enjoy your morning coffee whilst looking out to sea from the luxurious sofa which sits in the bay window. This spacious designer bedroom has a super king-size bed, bedside cabinets, dressing table/desk, a built in wardrobe with shelf and a wall mounted TV.

Ensuite Shower Room
Fully tiled shower cubicle, wash basin set into a vanity drawer, WC, heated towel rail and window.

Twin bedroom
This charming twin sits conveniently between the master bedroom (ideal for young children) and the first floor cloakroom. It's furnished with twin beds, bedside tables, a chest of drawers and has a window overlooking the garden.

King Bedroom
This big bedroom has a king size bed with bedside drawers, additional chest of drawers and chair with hooks on the door for hanging clothes.

Twin bedroom
At the back of the house, overlooking the patio, with sturdy twin beds, bedside drawers between then, a large chest of drawers plus a couple of chairs.

Shower Room
The mosaic tiled shower is simply enormous in this modern shower room which has a wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and window giving natural light.

Second Floor
Stairs rise from the first to second floor landing where the twin and second king are found with the family bathroom.

Twin Bedroom
Overlooking the rooftops to the sea in the distance, this room’s furnished with twin beds, a desk, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers and built in cupboard with shelves.

King Bedroom
Wake to the sounds of the seagulls with Southwold’s iconic lighthouse almost opposite and the sun rising over the sea to the side of the window. This room’s set in the eaves at the top of The Pink House and has a king size bed with bedside drawers, desk, chest of drawers and built in cupboard with shelves.

Family bathroom
A modern room with bath and shower over, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Outside
The Pink House has a small front garden separating it from the pavement; there’s not allocated parking, however Chester Road has unrestricted parking so you’ll generally find a space close by.

The sunny south facing patio at the back is fully enclosed, furnished with a bench and chairs and gate leading along the back of the neighbouring houses.

Guests who are staying at The Pink House can benefit from a 10% discount if they book Windrush Beach Hut , subject to availability. Bookings are exclusive to The Pink House guests until April 2018 when they will be released to the general public so please book early so you're not disappointed.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This superb self-catering holiday house is equipped with central heating and appliances include TVs in the kitchen, living room and master bedroom, a DVD player and Sonos music system. The kitchen is well equipped with a double fridge and two drawer freezer, electric double oven at waist height, warming drawer, five ring induction hob with extractor, two large drinks drawers, a dishwasher. There’s also a washing machine and dryer in the utility room.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

This self catering holiday house in Southwold is located just steps from the sandy beach, adorned with a string of colourful beach huts that lead along to the iconic Pier at one end and towards Southwold Harbour at the other end. The heart of the town is also close to The Pink House and boasts several excellent pubs and restaurants as well as a range of independent shops and galleries.

There is a pretty walk through the harbour and over a footbridge to the picture-postcard village of Walberswick, home to two good pubs (The Anchor and The Bell) and a long sandy beach. Fresh fish can be bought from the fish huts along the harbour. Southwold is home to the Adnams Brewery and the town's excellent pubs include one of our personal favourites, The Lord Nelson where you can try a range of Adnams bitters.
