The Old Fisherman's Hut allows you to step back in time and staycation in an Old Fisherman's Hut on the bank of Southwold Harbour. This unique property offer the most amazing views from the kitchen and living room area, with the double bedroom tucked away at the back. There are two decked areas for you to sit and take in the views.
External steps lead up to the ground floor.
The kitchen is in the centre of the property, with an electric oven with four ring hob, under counter fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster.
With some of the best views, this is the perfect place to sit back and relax. There is a luxurious two-seater sofa, arm chair, side lamps and 32'' TV. There is a wood-burning stove, perfect for those winter months.
There is a beautiful wooden table with four seats, perfect for dining with a view.
Located off of the kitchen, this room features a walk in shower, with full length shower curtains, wash basin and WC.
A narrow hallways leads from the kitchen to the bedroom, their are two doors, one that takes you round the back of the hut to one decked area, and the other leading to the front deck.
Located at the rear of the property, with a double bed. Please note due to the size of the bedroom, the bed is only accessible from one side and bottom. There no storage for clothing, however there is a trunk in the living room that can be used for additional storage.
There are two decked areas for you to sit and enjoy, with a small table and chairs. Due to the location of the property, the surrounding grounds are of marshland.
Parking can be found a few steps away at the Harbour, please note this is on a first come basis.

Due to the location of the property, some aspect of the garden is marshland. Due to the proximity to the river, there is a risk of flooding in the winter months when the tide is particularly high.
The property is very much an Old Fisherman Hut, and therefore does have it's quirks. The property is a timber construction, with electric panel heating with the added extra of a wood-burner in the lounge, it can there be slightly chilly in the colder winter months.
Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
