"Had a wonderfully comfortable and cosy stay in this lovely cottage. Came down do celebrate my husbands birthday with all the family that live in the area. Couldn't have found a nicer place to be – Thank you so much (very good wine too, much appreciated after our long drive down!) Lunch for twelve at The Ship Inn Dunwich went very smoothly and very good food."
"Have to say the weather is better than home!! Been birding, beaching and walking. Always nice to get back to The Nookery for a nice cuppa and a sit in the grasses. On our first evening we heard a cuckoo – a rare treat. A very pleasant week"
"Lovely cottage, good to see different parts of Suffolk, appreciated the wine – thank you"

Snape is one of east Suffolk's most sought after villages, famous for the Maltings (just over a mile from The Nookery), which have been developed into the home of the Aldeburgh Festival and are now the host for a renowned calendar of music events, but also surrounding the concert hall are many boutique shops – and there are many beautiful walks along the River Alde and a pub, the Plough and Sail to visit. The village of Snape has two excellent pubs, The Golden Key and Crown, both within walking distance of the cottage, and there is also the famous Sailors Path, a wonderful four-mile walk towards Aldeburgh – highly recommended.
