Sole Rose at Southwold

The large well-equipped kitchen is a great place to congregate with breakfast bar and stools to perch on whilst chatting to the chef, and double doors opening to the courtyard garden making it ideal for meals outside. There’s a utility room and cloakroom at the back of the house, a dining room and lovely living room at the front with open fire and bay window giving a glimpse of the sea. There’s a luxurious en suite bathroom to the twin on the first floor and shower room to the double overlooking the lighthouse.

Guests can park on Chester Road where the parking is unrestricted, or in a nearby car park, and the cottage is set back from the road with a small attractive front garden and a sunny courtyard style patio off the kitchen at the back.

Ground floor:
Guests are welcomed into an elegant long hallway leading to the kitchen at the back of the house with the stairs rising ahead of you and the living and dining rooms off to the left, all with hard floors.

Dining Room
Traditional dining room with large table and six chairs, a dresser and ornate brick fireplace. Double doors open to the courtyard garden.

Living Room
Catch a glimpse of the sea from the big bay window in this living room, furnished with a couple of comfy sofas, armchairs, coffee table. The open fire is a key feature with shelves to the side stacked with books and DVDs as well as the TV.

Kitchen
This lovely big kitchen with sociable breakfast bar with four stools is well equipped with a Belling Gas Country Range with eight rings, double electric oven and grill, free standing fridge with four drawer freezer beneath and free standing microwave.

Utility Room
Conveniently located next to the kitchen with a Bosch dishwasher and washing machine.

Cloakroom
Beyond the utility room with hand shower and WC.

First floor
Carpeted stairs rise to the split level first floor landing with the double and twin opening off.

Lighthouse Bedroom
This sunny south facing bedroom has a great view of the lighthouse. There’s a double wrought iron bed with bedside drawers.

En-suite Shower Room
Large bright en-suite with plenty of natural light, a double shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Twin bedroom
See the sun rise over the sea to the side of the bay window in this large twin room which has a bedside cabinet, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

En Suite Bathroom
You won’t be able to resist the deep claw foot bath in the centre of this luxurious bathroom with ornate fireplace, pedestal washbasin, WC, dressing table with stool and light streaming in through the sash window.

Carpeted stairs lead you up into the third floor bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Twin Bedroom
Cosy twin bedroom with beautiful brick feature wall, there is a chest of drawers within the eaves for your belonging.

En-suite Shower Room
Leading off of the landing you have an en-suite bathroom with corner shower cubical, wash basin and WC.

Outside
This terraced cottage is set back from the road with a small attractive front garden and a sunny courtyard style patio, furnished with a table and six chairs, off the kitchen at the back that also has a path leading to the lighthouse.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This modern end of terrace self-catering holiday cottage is equipped with central heating and has WiFi, a TV and video player with videos supplied which ‘little guests’ are sure to enjoy! The kitchen is well equipped with a Belling Gas Country Range with eight rings, double electric oven and grill, free standing fridge with four drawer freezer beneath and free standing microwave. There’s also a Bosch dishwasher and washing machine in the utility room.

A travel cot, high chair and stair gate are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.
This traditional Edwardian family holiday cottage is in an excellent location as Chester Road joins North Parade where you’ll find the sandy beach with its string of colourful beach huts and Southwold’s renowned Pier with shops, eateries and amusements.

The iconic lighthouse is literally next door to Sole Rose, there’s a wonderfully traditional English Sweet Shop just round the corner opposite the Sole Bay Inn serving local cask ales and pub grub. The market square and high street are a few minutes walk away with an excellent choice of restaurants, cafes, galleries and independent shops, including bakeries, delicatessens, butchers and convenience stores.

Suffolk also boasts beautiful walks and cycle routes, both along the coast and inland, and you can enjoy many other outdoor pursuits such as golf, sailing and horse riding.
Sorry, no pets, smoking or unaccompanied teenagers.

Please note that the water tank has limited space and cannot accommodate six showers in succession; however there is a combi boiler in the shower room off the kitchen which has continuous hot water - ideal for children after a day on the beach!

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
