You’re welcomed into a small lobby with the living room to one side and a big relaxed dining/kitchen to the other which leads through to a rear lobby and cloakroom with back door – ideal access when coming in from the beach!

Slaughden End at Aldeburgh

A glimpse of the sea can be seen from the master bedroom with impressive four poster bed and en-suite cloakroom; the twin is also a good size and the bathroom sits conveniently off the corridor between the two.

Outside is a sunny paved front garden behind a low red brick wall, furnished with a table and chairs and on road parking is generally available on the lane to the cottage.

Ground floor:
With living room and kitchen/dining room off the front hall and a rear hall with door to the lane at the back, leading to the cloakroom. Most of the ground floor has a wooden floor, other than the living room which is carpeted.

Kitchen/Dining Room
A great space for the family to enjoy meals with dining area furnished with a circular pine table, chairs and Welsh dresser stocked with glassware. A breakfast bar divides the dining area from the light kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven with gas hob, five shelf fridge and three drawer freezer, slimline dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.

Back Hall
A door from private road opens into a lobby with hooks for beach gear.

Living Room
A sunny south facing room, furnished with a two seater sofa, couple of arm chairs and a large coffee table in front of the gas fire to keep those east winds at bay in the cooler months. Shelves and a cupboard at either side of the fireplace house the TV and are stacked with games.

First floor
Carpeted stairs rise to the first floor with a step up to the master bedroom on one side and to the bathroom and twin to the other.

Master bedroom
Catch a glimpse of the sea from this bright bedroom with grand four poster super king size bed and ample storage in a chest of drawers and built in wardrobe with hanging and drawer space. An original ornamental fireplace is an attractive feature.

En-suite cloakroom
With WC and wash basin.

There’s lovely coastal theme to this bathroom with porthole mirrors and mosaic tiled wall with bath and hand shower above with screen door, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Twin bedroom
Great for adults or kids, this good sized bedroom with sturdy wooden twin beds and a cute table between them plus bags of storage in a built in wardrobe with drawers beneath.

Slaughden End is a semi detached house on the corner of Brudenell Street, directly opposite the hotel. Outside is a sunny paved front garden behind a low red brick wall, furnished with a bench and deckchairs and on-road parking is generally available on the lane at the back of the cottage.

This south facing end of terrace self-catering holiday cottage is equipped with gas central heating and appliances include a TV with FreeSat an iPod docking station and Wifi. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven with gas hob, five shelf fridge and three drawer freezer, slimline dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.
This Victorian end of terrace town house is positioned at the south end of the High Street, opposite the back of the Brudenell Hotel so ideal to pop across for a meal on the sea facing terrace or an evening meal in the stylish restaurant. The pebble beach is literally a few yards away and a short stroll up the High Street brings you to Aldeburgh's popular shops, cafes and restaurants.

There are wonderful walks along the coast to Thorpeness passing the famous Scallop shell sculpture to the north or to the Martello Tower to the south; plus pretty walks around the nearby Aldeburgh Marshes and to Snape, just five miles away, with its renowned concert hall, Aldeburgh Music, plus the Maltings with a variety of shops including kitchen, homeware, delicatessen, clothing, furniture and antiques.

A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs and not on the sofas. The patio has a gate and low wall at the front so you will need to keep an eye on your pet. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
