Walberswick is a quintessential seaside village on the unspoilt Suffolk coast, and Seaview is in an excellent spot for enjoying the long beach, village green with playground and shops, or the traditional pubs. Accommodation is spacious throughout, with a sociable living/kitchen/dining room opening into the garden, as well as a second cosy sitting room with wood-burner . The wide south-facing balcony running along the back of the house is a huge bonus, as well as the secure garden below which is ideal for little guests!

Seaview at Walberswick

From the minute you step into the welcoming hallway you can unload, unwind and enjoy a memorable stay. The open-plan living space is sure to be the hub of your holiday, cleverly designed so cooks can indulge their passion whilst the rest of the family relax in the living space or enjoy meals at the dining table. An additional sitting room with wood burner is on the first floor, giving the option for peace and quiet or an escape for the children! All bedrooms are decorated in soft tones and have ample storage; three and the nursery on the first floor; the massive master suite perched at the top of the house. Facilities include a ground floor shower room, family bathroom and en suite shower for the master bedroom, plus a utility room.

Outdoor space at this big holiday house is exceptional; with the choice of a fully enclosed and spacious garden, or generous balcony on the first floor with sea views, furnished for meals or simply lounging in the sun. Allocated parking for two cars (a premium in Walberswick) is conveniently by the front door.

Ground Floor
The large hallway sits at the heart of the house with stairs (partially carpeted) rising to the first floor ahead of the front door, and doors to the kitchen/living/dining room and shower room. There’s hard flooring throughout with a beautiful wooden floor in the living space and tiles in the shower and utility rooms. Four folding doors open onto the garden and there’s a utility room off the living area.

Entrance Hall
You know you’ve ‘arrived’ when you step into the big hallway with bench seat and cubby holes inviting you to take off your shoes; hooks for your coats and a dresser and hall table for your keys etc.

Living/Kitchen/Dining Room
Wonderful for socialising with friends and family at any time of the year, with folding doors encouraging indoor/outdoor living.

Cooks can indulge their passion and try new recipes (plenty of cook books for you explore) with a four oven Aga available in the winter months and two-ring induction hob plus four-ring electric hob with two electric ovens and a grill for the rest of the year. The Bosch fridge/ freezer is a good size for larger groups. A central island gives additional workspace, and shelves for plenty of platters and bowls for you to fill.

Close to the folding doors to the garden is the dining area; furnished with a large circular table with nine chairs. Adjacent is the seating area with generous L shaped sofa where you can chill, play games at the coffee table or watch a movie on the wall mounted TV.

Utility Room
Conveniently off the kitchen/dining space, with extra storage for groceries etc. There’s a washing machine, dryer, ceiling rack for drying too and a sink with drainer.

Shower Room
Great for sandy feet after a trip for the beach so you don’t have to traipse upstairs! There’s a lip on the shower cubicle, which has an electric shower and the usual WC, wash-basin and towel rail.

First Floor
Wide stairs with a hand rail rise and turn from the hall to the long landing with doors to three bedrooms, bathroom, nursery and sitting room; carpeted except for the bathroom which has wood effect flooring.

Sitting Room
‘Sitting’ at the end of the corridor with bay window giving a view of the sea.
Two massive deep sofas invite you to sit back and watch the TV, with a coffee table for drinks and a wood burner for cosy winter evenings. Shelves are stacked with games, magazines and both novels and reference books.

Front Twin
The village and sea can be seen from the bay window in this pleasing room. Lloyd Loom beds have drawers between them as well as a chest of drawers, wardrobe with shelves and hanging space and a folding chair.

Front Double
Also sitting at the front of this super self-catering house, furnished with a chic upholstered double bed with sturdy bedside drawers, an ornate wardrobe and folding chair.

Balcony Double
Double doors open onto the balcony here so you can lie in the pretty double bed and enjoy the sea breezes and view. There’s plenty of place for you to unpack with a wardrobe with hanging and shelf space plus a chest of drawers with a mirror on for hair drying!

Simply superb with sea views and a glass balustrade so you can look down to the garden. This exceptional balcony is south facing so enjoys the sun for the majority of the day and has space and seating for everybody to enjoy, whether simply lounging on a recliner or sitting on one of the two rattan benches with dining table. The access is through the double room.

Family Bathroom
Conveniently positioned for guests in the three rooms and the nursery on this floor, with both a shower cubicle with adjustable shower hose and a bath with hand shower over, a wash-basin, toilet, heated towel rail and daylight from two windows.

An excellent room for new parents, with a peaceful outlook over the garden. Featuring a full sized wooden cot, changing table, chair and wardrobe.

Second Floor
Carpeted stairs with a handrail take you from the first floor landing to a small landing at the top of the house where the master suite is; also carpeted.

Master Bedroom
Incredibly large and light thanks to a couple of skylights. The French style Super King sleigh bed takes pride of place between bedside cabinets for your books, with a walk in wardrobe with shelves and hanging space for your clothes.

En Suite Shower Room
A circular cubicle with adjustable shower sits under the skylight, accompanied by a wash-basin, WC and heated towel rail.

You can park two cars on the roadside directly outside the house where space is marked for guests. At the back is a fully enclosed and garden with bags of room to run around on the grass. A wide paved patio runs the length of the house with sliding doors from the living/kitchen/dining room offering seamless indoor/outdoor living with a table and two bench-seats. Cyclists can store their bikes safely in the shed.

There is a cot/bed in the nursery for babies. Please bring your own linen if you wish to use the cot/bed.

Walberswick is a hidden gem in Suffolk. Until the early 20th century the village was a trading port, but today it is one of Suffolk’s top tourist attractions with picture postcard village green with tea rooms, restaurants and two public houses (The Anchor and The Bell), art gallery, original crafts and gift shops. The village is famous for its annual crabbing competition and guests will enjoy the stunning sandy beach and marshland.

Seaview is located just minutes from the harbour and a pretty walk over the Bailey a footbridge to the popular town of Southwold which boasts several excellent pubs and restaurants as well as a range of independent shops and galleries. The town’s sandy beach is adorned with a string of colourful beach huts that lead along to the Pier.

Guests can walk along the tow path to the Harbour Inn, enjoying the view of the fishing boats and yachts along the way or, during the summer, be rowed across the estuary in the ferry boat . Fresh fish, purchased from the iconic black Walberswick fishermen’s huts are a must!

If you're looking for adventure further afield then Pleasurewood Hills, a very popular theme park with over 35 rides, is not too far away in Lowestoft. With rides for little children, families and thrill rides for the adrenaline junkies, Pleasurewood Hills promises an action packed outing for everyone.

Another excing day out is Africa Alive. Set in 100 acres of stunning Suffolk countryside, Africa Alive has five species of African savannah animals including giraffes and lions. The park is also home to some rather amazing primates including bush babies and the rare golden-bellied mangabeys. There are great indoor and outdoor adventure play areas as well as restaurants, free parking and a gift shop.

If you are visiting between November - February a trip to Horsey Beach is a must. Here you can witness breathtaking views of the hundreds of grey seals.
