Sea Crest at Aldeburgh

A path and steps lead you away from the road to the pretty front garden where the front door opens into a porch with the welcoming west-facing living room beyond. The contemporary well-equipped kitchen sits at the back of the house with double doors giving access to the south-facing courtyard garden; dining tables in the kitchen and the garden allow you to enjoy your meals whatever the weather! Spread over the first and second floors, the four bedrooms are tastefully furnished with two having a sea view and all having easy access to the modern bathroom and shower room.

This super holiday home is in a quiet spot on the edge of this vibrant seaside town with the added benefit of secure parking in the garage where there's also space to store bikes and additional off-road parking for a second car.

Ground Floor
A path leads through the landscaped front garden to the front door, opening into a small entrance hall with coat rack, followed by the living room.

Living Room
Bay windows offer beautiful views across the nature reserve towards the coastline, making this spacious room charming at any time of the year with a wood burner set in the fireplace to keep the chill off in cooler months. The oak floors conceal underfloor heating and this comfortable room is tastefully furnished with generous sofas and armchairs, occasional tables and a cleverly designed unit to store your shoes in. Entertainment provided in a 32in TV with Freeview and DVD player, digital radio and iPod docking station.

Inner Hall
Giving access to the living room, kitchen and cloakroom with carpeted stairs rising to the first floor.

Cloakroom/Utility
With washbasin, W.C., washer/dryer, and more hanging space for coats.

Kitchen/Breakfast Room
Sun streams in through the double doors opening to the landscaped patio garden, making it easily accessible for a bit of al fresco dining! Fitted with a bespoke range of wood kitchen cabinets with polished marble worktops, equipment includes a Smeg fridge,/freezer (plus a drinks fridge in the garage), five ring gas range with wok burner and electric oven, integrated dishwasher, Nespresso machine and microwave. An extending dining table with eight chairs sits on the oak floors with underfloor heating.

First Floor
The landing has doors to three of the bedrooms, a shower room and another staircase leading to the second floor.

Single Bedroom
Overlooking the rear garden, this cosy room has a single bed, stylish desk (which can double up as a dressing table), and tallboy for your clothes.

Garden Bedroom

At the back of Sea Crest, overlooking the garden, with king size bed, designer bedside tables with lamps and a dressing table.

Master Bedroom
Wake to the views of the nature reserve, sea and coastline towards Thorpeness from the super king zip and link bed giving the option of twin or double in this spacious bedroom. If you fancy a quiet moment with a book, there’s a three seater sofa plus a dressing table with chair, built-in wardrobe with cupboard space, 32” TV with Freeview, DVD player and a fireplace housing an electric fire (in addition to the central heating).

Bathroom
Ideally positioned for all guests on the first floor, this modern bathroom has a bath with shower over, pedestal wash basin with illuminated overhead mirror, W.C. and heated towel rail.

Second Floor
Carpeted stairs rise to the first-floor landing with doors opening to the double bedroom and shower room.

Top/Guest Bedroom
A super big room at the top of the house with an adjacent shower room and window with panoramic views over the nature reserve, sea and coastline. Another super king zip and link bed gives the choice of twin or double configuration with bedside tables and the room's elegantly furnished with a chair and coffee table, huge built in wardrobe and dressing area. When you make your booking you will be asked if you'd like the beds made up as twin or super king in this room referred to as the 'guest' bedroom.

Shower Room
Stylishly tiled with ceramic floor and wall tiles, there’s a walk-in shower with power shower, washbasin with illuminated overhead mirror, W.C. and heated towel rail.

Outside
Sea Crest, at 5 Willows Green stands in an elevated position in landscaped gardens enclosed by red brick walls giving it plenty of privacy at the front and back. The front garden is designed with planting areas and brick edged paved pathway to the front door through a wrought iron gate; there’s a water feature and small table and chairs where you can relax and enjoy the tranquillity. The smaller rear garden has been beautifully landscaped and features attractive flowers, steps to the garage and a table and chairs for you enjoy meals in the open with BBQ.

There’s a garage (19’7” x 10’5”) approached by rear vehicular access and via a personal door reached by a staircase from the rear garden. There’s automated up-and-over door, electric lighting, power, a water tap, and the aforementioned drinks fridge!

Whats Included?

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This modern end of terrace self-catering holiday cottage is equipped with gas central heating and appliances includes two 32” Smart TV with FreeView, Wifi, DVD player and iPod docking station. The kitchen is well equipped with a Smeg fridge/freezer, five ring gas range with wok burner and electric oven, integrated dishwasher, Nespresso machine and microwave; there’s also a washer/dryer in the cloakroom and drinks fridge in the garage, plus a water softener.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking; please bring your own cot linen.

Situated on Willows Green at the edge of the quintessential seaside town of Aldeburgh, this terraced three-storey house is within a short walk to the town's excellent range of restaurants, pubs, shops and cinema.

The town also offers fantastic recreational facilities including sailing, fishing and an exceptional golf course. Snape Maltings, the home of the famous Aldeburgh Music Festival is about five miles away. Alongside the concert hall there are a variety of shops including, Kitchen, homeware and delicatessen.

Thorpeness, a wonderfully quirky little village characterised by beautiful mock Tudor buildings, a Peter-Pan inspired boating lake and the dreamy House in the Clouds, can be seen from Sea Crest and there’s a path along the old railway or along the coast, making it a great place for lunch.

A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
