The 500 year old ‘Huntsman and Hounds’ pub is approximately a ten minute walk away and, as well as offering good cuisine by the fire or in the mature gardens.
The Suffolk Heritage Coast to the east includes the popular Georgian seafront town of Southwold, home to the Adnams Sole Bay brewery.
There are excellent sporting and leisure facilities in the area including a number of golf courses, sailing and water sports on the river estuaries as well as fishing, horse-riding and bird-watching.
A well-behaved dog is welcome. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. If your dog’s a swimmer please make sure it’s dry before going back into the barn and obviously supervise it in the water.
The garden is also not fully fenced and the main road is about 200 metres down the drive.
A cot and high chair are available from the owners if requested at the time of booking. There is a lot of unfenced water around in the pond and moat so ‘little guests’ will need to be supervised at all times.
The accommodation is single storey so suitable for guests with a mobility problem, however please note that the shower is over the bath and the entrance is too tight for a wheelchair to turn.
