Pembroke at Aldeburgh

Situated right on the seafront with fabulous sea views and just moments from Aldeburgh's restaurants and shops. This stunning property has recently undergone a full refurbishment adding additional bathrooms, creating a luxurious yet comfortable space for family and friends to enjoy, complete with a first floor balcony with double doors opening out towards the seafront.

Entering the property into the spacious living room area, with a hidden ground floor WC. The property has been cleverly designed to create a space open plan luxurious kitchen and dining space to your left, allowing you to enjoy the sea views whilst cooking. The living room has comfortable seating for 6 guests, with large floor space and cosy features including beautiful lamps and gas fire, all whilst being able to enjoy the views.

On the first floor are three sumptuous bedrooms, two complete with en-suites with an additional family shower room. The first floor has been designed on different levels with steps up and down to selected room. Features of the original property pre-renovation have been cleverly used to create a modern property with traditional features, these include original floorboards that have created sliding doors, and original fireplace relocated to a feature as you come up the stairs.

The unique part of this beautiful coastal self catering holiday house is being able to step out of your front door onto Crag Path and having the beach is right there in front of you…magical!


Ground Floor:

Living Room:

Enter from Crag Path into this beautiful room, designed with a mixture of bold and light colours with two large sash windows, creating the perfect room to relax and enjoy quality time with family and friends. Complete with a mixture of spot lights, wall lights and cosy table lamps, allowing you to create the perfect mood. There is a large 3 seater tan leather sofa, a fabric two seater sofa and separate arm chair providing ample seating. The seating is centred around the gas fire with wooden surround with flat screen TV above. There is a large wooden coffee table and selection of side tables providing a selection of storage. With sea views this is the perfect room for the whole family to enjoy all year round.

In front of you as you walk into the property you have two stunning mirrored doors which houses a ground floor WC and wash basin. The room has been beautifully decorated with Cole & Son designer wallpaper.

Open Plan Kitchen and Dining Room:

From the main living space to your left you have the spacious and sophisticated dining space, perfect for those special family meals complete with your own sea views. The large table with 6 wicker chairs is positioned in the centre of the room with beautiful wooden chandelier over-head, and solid wooden floor underfoot. There are dark grey painted cast iron radiators on the walls bringing those bold and light colours together.

Through the dining room you have the truly stunning lowered kitchen complete with slate flooring, a kitchen of dreams! No expense has been spared with the large Fisher and Paykel Fridge/Freezer complete with ice machine and double oven and 5 ring gas hob. The bespoke made wooden kitchen provides ample storage space with quartz worktop, complete with an integrated dishwasher, the room is fully stocked with all of the pots/pan, cutlery and utensils that you would need.

Utility Room:

The separate utility room has additional cupboard space for guests use, Bosch Washing Machine, Neff Tumble Dryer and Microwave.

First Floor:

Bedroom 1:

This stunning double bedroom has been created to make a luxurious space with en-suite bathroom. The handmade bed surrounding has been created out of the original floorboards, with built in bedside cupboards and lights and USB connections. There is a wooden desk complete with desk lamp and mirror above, there will be a large double wardrobe for you belongings.

En-suite Shower Room:

The sliding door leads you into your very own boutique shower room, with walk in shower cubical, WC, beautiful stone wash basin and large towel rail.

Twin Bedroom:

This light and spacious twin bedroom with raised ceilings and exposed beams has large double sash windows providing beautiful sea views, the perfect room for children and adults to enjoy. Ample storage is provided for your belongings with a large double doored wardrobe and four draw chest of draws. There is also a dressing table with decorative mirror, and separate full length mirrors. The owners have fitted this room with a ceiling fan, perfect for those summer months.

Family Shower Room:

Complete with large shower cubical, WC, stone wash basin and full length towel rail.

Bedroom 3 (Master)

Imagine waking up in the morning and being able to enjoy breakfast in bed with the balcony doors open whilst listening to the sound of the sea! This room oozes extravagance, with it's super-king bed position to make the most of the sea views, with bedside tables with lamps and ceiling fan over head. The ceiling height has been lifted to expose the beautiful original beams. The room has been cleverly designed with two design fabric chairs with side table, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. There is a large full length floor mirror, two large chest of draws and wardrobe for all of your belongings.

En-suite Family Bathroom:

This beautiful deluxe bathroom with separate shower room is the perfect space to relax. The room features a WC, stone wash basin and large mirror above.

OUTSIDE: On road parking is usually available either immediately in front of the house on Crag Path or in nearby side streets. The beach is your playground, just a couple of strides away!

Whats Included?

All rental prices include bed linen and towels, gas and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This self catering Aldeburgh holiday cottage on the seafront is equipped with central heating, TV, gas hob and double oven, a Fisher and Rykell fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There's free wireless broadband access too. A travel cot and a feeding chair are available on request.

This wonderful duplex holiday house is in one of the best locations, close to everything in the vibrant and colourful town of Aldeburgh. Literally on the promenade, adjacent to the boating pond, the historic Moot Hall and fish huts which run along the seafront; also a couple of minutes walk to the town centre with an excellent range of restaurants, pubs, takeaways, independent shops, galleries and an independent cinema.

There is a wonderful walk from the front door, along the coast to Thorpeness, passing the famous Scallop shell sculpture, plus pretty walks around the nearby Aldeburgh Marshes and along Sailors Path to Snape with it’s renowned Aldeburgh Music for those looking for some culture and Snape Maltings for a touch of retail therapy!

For the sporty, there are tennis courts; nine hole and 18 hole golf courses (rated as one of the top 100 in the UK) in Aldeburgh and, for those who enjoy birdwatching, boat trips are available on the River Alde and RSPB Minsmere is close by. There are also tennis courts and a golf course in Thorpeness and plenty of easy cycle routes around the county.
