On The Green sits in a prominent position in the centre of Friston, across the green from The Old Chequers, with lovely views of the village green from most rooms and younger guests are sure to enjoy the play equipment and goal posts on the green! There's ample parking for two cars with a path leading down the side of the property to the courtyard and a gate to the small front garden where you can enjoy meals al fresco.
You're welcomed into a fully renovated kitchen/dining room with door to the ground floor suite and living room. There's a front door opening to the front garden and gate directly to the Church Path and village green. A door opens to stairs to the first floor from the living room. The ground floor suite has an inner hall with bedroom and separate shower room opening off it.
With window overlooking the courtyard at the back, a new fantastic new kitchen has been installed and equipped with an electric cooker, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A big dining table with seating for six sits at the other side of the room.

A lovely light bedroom overlooking the front garden, green and surrounding farmland. This room's furnished with a king size bed, bedside units and has a built in wardrobe.
Step down into this twin room, with a partly vaulted ceiling, sitting quietly at the back of the cottage with roof light and a low window allowing the light to stream in and twin beds.
With panel bath and hand shower attachment, WC, pedestal wash basin, Velux window giving natural light and heated towel rail.
As the name suggests, On The Green sits way back from the road next to the village green with Church Path and a ditch between it and the large common land with ample space for children to run around, benches to sit on in the sun and fantastic play equipment for younger guests. There's allocated parking at the back of the cottage for a couple of cars with additional spaces on the grass if needs be. A gate opens onto a path running down the side of the house to the private rear courtyard with another gate onto the small front garden which is primarily laid to lawn with a pretty gate onto Church Path. Both the courtyard and front garden are fully enclosed.

This mid-terrace self-catering Suffolk holiday cottage is in the pretty village of Friston, The Old Chequers pub, just across the green, is definitely worth a visit and there's bags of space for kids to run around and play in the playground which is along a path and over the ditch from On The Green (young guests will need to be accompanied).
Located just 4 miles from Aldeburgh on the coast where you'll find an excellent range of shops and restaurants and the beach. There are several good footpaths from Friston including a 2 mile walk to Snape where you'll find three good food pubs: The Golden Key, The Crown and The Plough and Sail. Also within easy reach of the property are several prestigious golf courses where you can enjoy a round of seaside golf. Saxmundham train station is about a 10 minute journey by taxi with connections to London. The market town also offers high street shops and a Waitrose.

A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. The owner may allow two dogs, however this is strictly with prior arrangement.
There are two small steps down to the ground floor bedroom which may be a consideration for guests with limited mobility.
