    “Loved our stay at Neptune.”

    We were 3 couples and the 3 large bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and the garden lovely. Location was great with easy walk to beach and Aldeburgh. Aldeburgh has lots of lovely places to eat. A welcome addition would be an overhead shower in main bathroom as currently only a hand held shower but otherwise a perfect stay

The property

Located just a short walk from the beach and high street on Church Farm Rise, this three storey pet-friendly holiday home with parking for two cars, is great for a traditional seaside holiday or a short break with loved ones. Neptune has a light and airy kitchen/dining room which is perfect for family gatherings, spilling out into the pretty fully enclosed and south-facing garden, whilst the living room with wood-burner is particularly cosy in cooler months. Four stylish and spacious bedrooms are spread over the first and second floors, two with en-suites and the top bedroom with view of the coastline to Thorpeness. Ground Floor A wide front door opens into the hall at Neptune, with second door to the hall at the heart of the house, and a dresser and hooks for your belongings. Doors open to the living room, kitchen and cloakroom, carpeted stairs with a handrail rise to the first-floor landing. Kitchen/Dining Room Sunshine floods this L shaped room, designed to enjoy meals at the table with eight chairs which sits in the bay with door to the garden, convenient for alfresco eating! Kitchen units wrap around one corner, housing a double Britannia oven with six gas rings which the chef is sure to love, an under counter fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. A central island gives additional work and storage space with a second under counter fridge and three-drawer freezer. There’s also a free-standing microwave and a dryer in the garage which you’re welcome to use. Living Room The wood burner set in an ornate fireplace with wall-mounted TV above, makes this a cosy room which has a couple of sofas, romantic cuddle chair, additional chair and seating in the bay window. Cloakroom Conveniently between the kitchen and living room, with WC and washbasin. First Floor Carpeted stairs rise from the hall to the first-floor landing where three of the bedrooms and the family bathroom are located. Balcony Bedroom The chic super-king size bed with padded bed-head is a great place to start your day, with a balcony overlooking the green where you can enjoy your morning coffee. Bedside drawers sit on either side of the bed; there’s a wardrobe and chest of drawers with small TV on it and a directors chair. En-Suite Shower Room A modern shower room with double cubicle, good-sized hand shower attached to an adjustable pole, washbasin, WC and heated towel rail. Blue Bedroom This elegant room sits at the front of the house with a chair in the bay window overlooking the green. An attractive king-size bed sits between bedside tables with drawers and there’s plenty of storage in built-in wardrobes, cupboards and shelves. Twin Bedroom Lovely sunny bedroom overlooking the garden with smart twin beds, bedside drawers between them, chest of drawers, and a directors chair. Family Bathroom Conveniently located for both the twin and blue bedrooms; the bath has a hand shower and there’s a washbasin set in a vanity unit, WC, heated towel rail, and light streaming in through the south-facing window. Second Floor Carpeted stairs rise from the first to second-floor landings where all bedrooms are carpeted. Top Bedroom Beautiful big bedroom with views over the rooftops to the sea and Thorpeness. The super-king size upholstered bed takes pride of place, with stylish bedside tables, matching chest of drawers, Lloyd Loom chair and bags of hanging and shelf space in the built-in wardrobe. En-Suite Bathroom Lovely light bathroom; the P shaped bath has a shower over and there’s a washbasin, WC and heated towel rail. Study Handy extra space in the eaves for whatever you need; furnished with a desk and chair (could double up as a dressing table) and a couple of comfy chairs so you can sit in silence with a good book. Outside Guests are sure to enjoy the pretty fully enclosed south facing garden with patio furnished with a table and chairs. Stone steps rise to the pergola, laden with roses in the summer months, which takes you to a quiet corner bench – the ideal spot to read the paper! There’s parking for two cars on the drive at the front, additional parking on the road, and a path takes you round to a gate giving access to the garden.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!
