Mole End at Orford

A walkway runs down the side of the house, great for storage of beach gear, buggies etc. On the ground floor there’s a well-equipped kitchen and large living-dining room – great at any time of the year with open fire and sliding doors to the garden. Both big bedrooms are on the first floor, together with a fresh shower room.

The pretty large south facing garden is fully enclosed so ideal for 'little guests' and dogs and has a lovely patio area, ideal for al fresco dining and there’s off-road parking at the front of the house.

Ground Floor
A stable door opens into a covered walkway, (a great place to store footwear, beach gear, buggies, etc.) leading to another door into the garden and door to the kitchen.

Light double aspect kitchen with units along two sides, well equipped with an electric double oven with ceramic hob, free-standing fridge with three drawer freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and freestanding microwave.

Living/Dining Room
Spacious room, ideal at any time of the year with open fire for cooler months and double doors to the large garden so you can make the most of it in the summer. A comfy sitting area furnished with a large sofa, two armchairs and footstool and dining area with table and six chairs sitting next to double doors opening onto the patio and garden beyond. Shelves are stacked with books and games for you to enjoy, as well as the TV, DVD player and MP3 system with CD player and DAB radio.

Opening off the living/dining room and leading to the stairs. Yet another useful spot for coats and footwear, with glazed door to the front of the house.

First Floor
Carpeted stairs rise from the hall to the first floor with a half landing. Both carpeted bedrooms are off the landing and the shower room between with tiled floor.

Master Bedroom
Charming room with king-size bed, bedside drawers, and additional storage in a wardrobe with shelf and dressing table with chair.

Twin Bedroom
Lovely big bedroom with twin beds, bedside drawers, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, and a couple of chairs.

Shower Room
This fresh clean room has a walk in shower with a hand shower on a rail, WC, pedestal wash basin, heated towel rail and window giving natural light.

The pretty large south/east facing garden is fully enclosed so ideal for dogs and 'little guests', accessed from the dining area and walkway. There’s a gravel area with bench, good sized lawn and super patio area with attractive corner seat and outdoor furniture - ideal for al fresco dining with a mobile charcoal BBQ provided. Off road parking at the front has space for one car with additional space on nearby roads if needed. There are three steps leading up to where both doors are accessible.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This self-catering holiday cottage is equipped with central heating and appliances include a TV with FreeSat and Wifi. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric double oven with ceramic hob, free standing fridge with three drawer freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and free standing microwave. There’s a charcoal BBQ for summer use.

The 13th century Orford pub, The King's Head, is only minutes away from this detached holiday home. It serves local beer and good food other than on Sunday evenings. Just before the pub on the right hand side there is a small general store and post office for every day provisions, including local produce.

In Pump Street is the award winning bakery where they bake lovely artisan bread using sour dough, pastries and chocolatier; it also has a cafe serving brunch and pastries and even does takeaways. Please note it is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

A visit to the historic ‘English Heritage’ Norman castle is a must.

In the Market Square is The Crown and Castle hotel, the Trinity gourmet restaurant and Butley of Orford Oysterage restaurant, favoured by fresh seafood enthusiasts. Selling newspapers and magazines, is a booth in the town hall which operates on an honesty box system and there's a market in the town hall on Saturday mornings. .

Down the lane is a recently opened butchers (closed on Mondays) which is run by an experienced butcher who will cut fresh meat to your own preference.

Out of the Market Hill towards the quay, follow the road pass the lovely St. Bartholomews church, round the corner and pass the green with its very pretty cottages. Directly opposite the car park is The Jolly Sailor serving good pub food and beer. At the quay there is a Pinney's deli where all sorts of fish, fresh or smoked and other items can be purchased.

From the quay you can enjoy a river lunch and dinner cruise on the Lady Florence, taking you up the rivers Alde and Ore whilst enjoying a good meal. Booking is essential. The boat Regardless also runs river trips, children's activity trips, fishing and bird watching and the quay is a great place to catch crabs.

A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.

An additional room on the first floor is locked for the owner’s belongings.

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
