Built in 2017 this spacious modern holiday home, with big garden and parking, offers excellent accommodation for a holiday or short break within walking distance of a popular pub and just a short drive to picturesque Southwold. Meadowsweet is in the village of Blythburgh, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just inland from Southwold on the Heritage Coast of north-east Suffolk. This self-catering holiday home is within walking distance of the White Hart Inn, an 18th century pub with warm and welcoming atmosphere, serving good food and local beers either in the extensive beer garden overlooking the estuary or by the fire. There’s also a village shop stocked with newspapers, sandwiches, cakes, local crafts and foods which also offers home deliveries.

Blythburgh is in an excellent location for the many attractions of the East Suffolk Heritage Coast, which include coastal and rural walks and cycling routes and, for bird watchers there is the renowned RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere, within easy driving distance.

Within five miles is the renowned coastal town of Southwold, famous for its iconic pier, Georgian and Victorian architecture, individual shops and traditional pubs. The picturesque coastal village of Walberswick is also worth a visit with long stretches of sandy beaches, village green with gift shops and tea rooms and a couple of great pubs serving excellent food and local beers.

Both the big well-equipped kitchen and the large living room, opening off the welcoming hallway, have double doors to the garden. There’s also a utility room, study with day bed for extra guests, and a cloakroom on the ground floor. All bedrooms on the first floor are a good size, the master with king size bed has an en suite shower room and there’s a lovely family bathroom.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle on a small nine property cul de sac, Meadowsweet has a ample off road parking for four cars and a big garden, mostly laid to lawn with a wide patio furnished with two sets of outdoor furniture so you can relax in the sun whilst the kids run around.

Ground floor:
A welcoming hallway sits at the heart of the house with the kitchen/breakfast room, living room, study and cloakroom opening off and stairs to the first floor. There’s Karndean flooring throughout the ground floor.

Kitchen/Breakfast Room
A sizeable room with U shaped kitchen housing a top of the range Rangemaster cooker with six ring ceramic hob, two electric ovens, grill, warming drawer and extractor above; dishwasher; large fridge with two and a half drawer freezer and free standing microwave.

Triple doors open into the garden from the ‘breakfast’ area which is furnished with a table and six chairs plus a smart dresser. There are also double doors to the living room making this a very sociable space.

Utility Room
Off the kitchen this handy room has a door to the alley running down the side of the house, giving easy access for shopping or beach gear. There’s a sink, coat hooks, washing machine and rotary washing line for use in the garden.

Living Room
This lovely big double aspect room is great at any time of the year with double doors to the garden and an electric fire with optiflame effect to keep the chill off in the cooler months. The room is being furnished with generous sofas and collection of coffee tables and dressers.

Study
Extra space for anyone wanting to study, watch TV or quietly read a book. There’s also a good sized day bed in this room which guests can use on request.

With WC and wash basin.

First floor
Carpeted stairs rise from the hall to the first-floor landing where all four bedrooms and the family bathroom are. Bedrooms are carpeted and the bathrooms have tiled floors.

Master Bedroom
A lovely double aspect bedroom sitting at the front of the house with king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables, chair and mirror. There's a TV and DVD player in this bedroom, sitting on a low stand with wheels and, as every bedroom has a TV socket, you can wheel this round to which ever room you wish to use it in.

En Suite Shower Room
Modern en suite with a corner shower, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and natural daylight.

Single Bedroom
A good sized single room at the back of the house overlooking the garden, furnished with a single bed with truckle bed if you wish to accommodate two guests, plus a double wardrobe, chest of drawers and mirror.

Family Bathroom
This light modern bathroom is a good size with bath, corner shower, basin set in a vanity unit, WC, heated towel rail and window overlooking the garden.

Outside
Meadowsweet is a large detached house in a quiet cul de sac with fully enclosed garden, primarily laid to lawn with a wide patio well furnished with a wooden table and six carvers, a rattan set with table and four chairs as well as two sun beds so you can really make the most of sunny days and enjoy a BBQ. There’s ample parking at the front for four cars and a side gate so you can wheel bikes through and store them securely down the side of the house.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This self-catering holiday cottage is equipped with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and radiators upstairs; the fire in the fireplace in the living room is electric with optiflame effect. Appliances include three TVs (in the study, living room and master bedroom) with FreeSat and DVD players, Bluetooth speaker, Wifi and iPod docking station. A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. The garden is fully enclosed so ideal for dogs.

A travel cot, high chair and stair gate are provided and can be reserved at the time for booking.
