Ground floor:
Hang your coats on the driftwood style coat rack in the entrance hall and make yourselves start to unwind! The kitchen sits to the right, followed by the cloakroom and the living-dining room at the back of this end of terraced house. Carpeted stairs rise to the first floor and the ground floor is a stylish wood effect.
Kitchen
A contemporary kitchen at the front of the house with plenty of light and well-stocked built-in cupboards. Appliances include a built-in electric oven, four ring hob, extractor hood, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, plus a free-standing microwave.
Living/Dining Room
This light and airy room sits at the back of the house with door to the garden. Contemporary furnishings in shades of grey and pink work well with the quality oak furniture. A wide flat-screen TV sits on a handsome unit by the two three-seat sofas with occasional tables and a blanket chest acting as a coffee table. At the other side of the room is the dining table and four chairs.
Cloakroom
Simply with WC, washbasin and natural light.
First Floor
Carpeted stairs rise to the landing with doors to both bedrooms (also with deep carpets) and bathroom.
Master Bedroom
The solid oak king size bed sits centrally between bedside drawers in this lovely light bedroom at the front of Lapwings. There’s additional storage in a mirrored wardrobe with shelf and a good-sized chest of drawers.
Twin Bedroom
This lovely light east-facing bedroom sits quietly at the back of the house, overlooking the garden. The divan twin beds have a bedside table with a lamp between them and tallboy in the corner, with hanging space and shelf in the built-in wardrobe.
Bathroom
Relax in this attractive bright bathroom with textured tiles surrounding the bath, which has a fixed shower over. There’s also a washbasin, WC, heated towel rail and plenty of space for your toiletries with a shelf and basket stand thoughtfully provided.
Outside
Outdoor space is a key feature here as there’s plenty of space in the east-facing garden which is fully secure, surrounded by a high (approx 6ft) fence with a gate onto a path that takes you onto the footpath leading to the disused railway track. The garden itself is part paved and part shingle with planters and comfy, L-shaped furniture for dining or simply relaxing in the sun – a charcoal BBQ is provided for exactly this! There’s allocated parking for two cars at the front, with five steps and a handrail to the door.

This self-catering holiday cottage is equipped with central heating, a Smart TV and Wifi. A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.
Footpaths run from the back of the house with a popular walkway running from Aldeburgh to Thorpeness, alternatively you can walk through the caravan park straight to the beach or into town (approx 15 mins).
There are wonderful walks along the coast to Thorpeness passing the famous Scallop shell sculpture to the north or to the Martello Tower to the south; plus pretty walks around the nearby Aldeburgh Marshes and to Snape, just five miles away, with its renowned concert hall, Aldeburgh Music, plus the Maltings with a variety of shops including kitchen, homeware, delicatessen, clothing, furniture and antiques.
The beautiful coastal villages of Walberswick and Dunwich are only 20 minutes drive away and the buzzing seaside town of Southwold is also just a 20 minute drive.
