These adjacent detached holiday properties are in a wonderful position just minutes from the ‘English Heritage’ Norman castle and equidistant between the market square and the quay so you can choose to walk towards or away from civilisation.
Orford has a fantastic choice of places to eat and drink, including The Trinity at the Crown and Castle, the Kings Head pub, the Butley Oysterage, the Jolly Sailor and a café by the quay with lovely views over the river. If you prefer to eat in, good food can be purchased in the village from an award-winning butchers, Richardson’s Smokery, the Pump Street bakery, Pinneys and also the Village Stores.
This Suffolk market town's on the River Ore and boasts a working river quay that serves sailors, fishermen and sightseers. Across the river is the National Trust’s Orford Ness, the site of mysterious research projects in the 1950’s and 60’s but now a nature reserve, Havergate Island, managed by the RSPB and river trips to visit it can be booked from Orford Quay.
There is additional parking at the Castle for a minimal charge per day.
Whilst the gardens are private they're not fully enclosed so dogs will need to be supervised.
The Wood Store is single storey so suitable for guests with a mobility problem as there are no steps internally, however the is a step to the front door and down to the patio where there's room to sit and relax however there are a few steps up to the main garden
