Main Features

High Ash Farm is a historic seventeen century small farm, rescued from a sad state of dereliction by Best of Suffolk in 2014, subsequently winning a SCDC Quality of Place Award. Protecting the environment, wildlife and the outstanding beauty at High Ash Farm was high up on the priority list throughout the whole renovation. Over the six acres of meadowland, which High Ash is surrounded by, 7,000 native hedging plants were planting to provide a home for all the wildlife. Restoration of the pond and ditches also took place before any building work commenced. The materials used during the building work were all chosen because of their sustainable future, materials such as oak and locally produced bricks. Recently High Ash Farm has seen some exciting new landscaping, with over 90 new trees being planted on site all indigenous, broadleaf and all provided by the Woodland Trust. This has allowed for more living areas for the important wildlife in Suffolk.
