This detached single storey holiday cottage in Knodishall is in an ideal spot for exploring Suffolk with the seaside village of Thorpeness just 4.5 miles away. Popular Aldeburgh with its shingle beach and a wealth of shops, eateries, independent cinema and sailing is only a 5.5 mile drive or cycle! Snape Maltings, home of the Aldeburgh Music festival, is about 3.5 miles away.
The village has a pub, playground and a local shop where you can get newspapers, ice creams and groceries. The popular Parrot and Punchbowl in Aldringham is within walking or cycling distance, with open fires in the winter and a large garden where you can play bowls in the summer.
Leiston, a more industrial town, is also a short drive away. The town offers very good local shopping with a family butcher, greengrocer, supermarket and amenities including a cinema, leisure centre with public indoor swimming pool and the fascinating Long Shop Museum.
There’s a footpath literally outside the front door, leading you to miles of wonderful countryside and coastal paths to explore. Furthermore, there are cycle routes and both Aldeburgh and Thorpeness golf clubs are close - great for walks as well as golf! Nearby in Saxmundham is a branch line rail service with connections via Ipswich to the Inter-City line to London Liverpool Street.
A well-behaved small/medium sized dog is welcome, but not in the bedrooms. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.
There is a footpath directly outside Ebenezer Chapel with scrubland on the other side where you can take your dog before bedtime! The patio is relatively narrow which doesn’t give much space for children to play but there is a fence and gate dividing it from the path and you could chain bikes within this area. There's also a small fenced area to the side of the cottage for the bins.

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer.
