There are tennis courts, a 9 hole and an 18 hole golf course (rated as one of the top 100 in the UK) in Aldeburgh. For those who enjoy birdwatching, boat trips are available on the River Alde. There are also tennis courts and a golf course in Thorpeness, and for those who appreciate music, Snape Maltings is only 5 miles away.
There is free 24/7 parking beyond the Moot Hall, a few minutes from Crabbe Corner, also there is an honesty box if you park in the Church car park. The parking near the property is restricted to two hours no return for two hours between 09.00 and 17.00 every day but if you move from High Street to Crabbe Street and vice versa that restarts the clock.
The house is split level with four carpeted stairs with a handrail for the first three steps from the kitchen down to the twin bedroom, two wooden steps from the kitchen up to the inner hall and six carpeted stairs with hand rails on both sides to the first floor bedroom and bathroom. The property’s reasonably suited for disabled guests, however not at all for wheelchairs, the space between the bed and door to the bathroom is quite tight.
The garden is fully enclosed and only accessible from the house (i.e no garden gate).
A well-behaved dog is welcome although not in the bedrooms. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. If you want to bring more than one dog or a different sort of pet we're happy to ask the owners for you so please give us a call.
