“Cannons is a very nice family house in a great position with loads of space, especially in the kitchen/dining/living room.”

BUT it has two quite important drawbacks. Firstly two of the bathrooms are so small they are laughable and virtually unusable. Secondly the description “ample parking” is somewhat misleading as the parking on the pebble driveway is only just big enough for three cars but with no room at all to turn round, with on grass parking that is dangerous when wet. The games room is not very well equipped and we found the tv room soulless and badly situated,Despite these negatives we all had a great ...

Attic Bedroom A charming bedroom, sitting quietly at the top of the house. Wide shuttered windows look out over the rooftops and village green. A gorgeous mahogany sleigh bed under the sloping ceiling has a bedside cabinet and wicker hampers piled up to create a bedside table. A unique hand-painted chest of drawers and wardrobe with drawers beneath gives you plenty of space to unpack. En Suite Tucked into the eaves, this well designed en suite has a sizeable stylish fully tiled shower cubicle, wash-basin, WC and heated towel rail. The Lookout An incredible spot to enjoy sunsets. Perched at the top of the house with an amazing glass floor above the first-floor landing. Windows wrap around three sides so you can enjoy the view of the sea, sandy beach stretching south past Walberswick down to Thorpeness, Southwold Green and the towns rooftops to the west. Six bar stools invite you to sit and sip cocktails and an innovative cupboard has a sink and drainer where you can wash up! Outside This detached and big self-catering holiday house sits in an enviable spot on the edge of South Green, above the path leading past colourful beach huts to the beach. Gates open into the gravel drive at the back of the house with parking for four cars. If you need to park more cars, there’s another set of gates open onto the lawn at the side. The electric car charging port is located in the garage on the right. The lawn wraps around three sides of Cannons with grass bank sloping down to the public footpath at the front. A pebble-dash wall (approx 3”) separates the garden from the green. At the side is a slightly sunken north-facing garden, giving more privacy, and a patio furnished with table and chairs. The door by the games room gives access to the garden where there’s a gorgeous bespoke table with driftwood base and glass top. If you want to bring bikes you can store them safely in the garage. You’ll find a gas Weber BBQ here too.
