Dating back as far as 1354, Bruisyard Hall has been owned by the Rous family for an impressive 400 years and has traditional elegance and history etched into its walls. Many of the Hall's original fetaures still remain intact, featuring oak staircases and beams throughout, whilst both the interior and exterior of the Hall has been very well-maintained over the many years.

Bruisyard Hall - Exclusive use at Bruisyard, Saxmundham

Bruisyard Hall has a grand entrance into the large, traditional entrance hall which leads onto the dining room, utility room, games room with billiard table, open plan kitchen and the drawing room. The original stair case leads to the first floor of seven bedrooms, shared bathrooms and library. Stowed away down to the mezzanine level is a secret double bedroom with compact en-suite shower room. On the second floor is a further two bedrooms and the attic cinema room. Outside the property are majestic views of the surrounding estate and countryside and includes plenty of off-road parking.

Ground Floor
The property is entered through the grand hallway.

Dining Hall
The large and spacious dining hall features a highly polished long oak table with comfortable plush seating for 24 guests.

Kitchen/Breakfast Area
The spacious open plan kitchen and breakfast area combines elegant tradition with modern appliances. The kitchen itself features a range oven and cooker, kettle, toaster, microwave, and a large fridge/freezer. The breakfast area features a long wooden table with wooden seating for 14.

Games Room
The unique games room features oak flooring throughout with a billiard table, board games, a flat-screen TV with SKY channels, and plush armchairs.

Utility Room
The utility room features a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

First Floor
A flight of carpeted stairs leads you up to the first floor.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

Bruisyard Hall is equipped with gas central heating. Appliances include a range oven/cooker, fridge/freezer, flat screen TV with SKY channels and readily available WIFI.
The historic market town of Saxmundham is a great base from which to explore the Suffolk Coast, with excellent travel links. The station in Saxmundham has hourly trains to and from London (via Ipswich) and the town itself is situated on the A12, the perfect access route for the Heritage Coast. Buses can be caught to most destinations around the coast.

Saxmundham offers the Bistro at the Deli which is a combined deli and cafe, with hot drinks, salads and paninis. There are many independant shops available on the High Street as well as two supermarkets. Close to Saxmundham is the town of Aldeburgh with a fantastic range of pubs and restaurants as well as the popular sea front.

Close by is Snape Maltings, home to Aldeburgh Music. You can walk and explore the grounds of the Maltings, enjoy a drink or soak up the culture with the many musical events on all year around.

A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. Children are welcome.

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
