Belstead House is a grand Victorian property built in 1903 and was formally one of the best known Girls Schools in the country.

Located only a 6 minute walk from the quaint and very popular Aldeburgh High Street with its array of independent shops and 8 minutes walk from Aldeburgh beach.

This beautiful property sleeps 12 people. There are three bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom. The spacious kitchen has a breakfast bench overlooking the pretty garden and there is a separate formal dining room. The bi-fold doors from the kitchen provide access to a patio with dining furniture and a gas BBQ.

Ground Floor
Belstead House offers a grand entrance off the ample private driveway. Entering into the impressive hallway with beautiful parquet flooring, high ceilings with light filling the space and an array of rooms leading off this space.

Kitchen/Breakfast Room
A wonderful light and spacious room with gorgeous views out across the beautiful garden. There is a handcrafted kitchen featuring an island with breakfast bar seating for three, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod-cons you need to cook up a storm, this includes a Range style cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, large wine fridge, microwave, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and toaster.

There is a beautiful wooden table with two long bench seats, with two comfortable chairs at the head of the table. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy with bi-fold and sliding floors opening out onto the wonderful garden and patio space.

Utility
A fantastic addition to the kitchen, with additional worktop space and appliances. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer.

Dining Room
A great grand room for the whole family to sit and enjoy quality meals together, with the large wooden dining table comfortable seating 12. This room is also great for corporate events, for teams to come together for meetings.

Sitting Room
With high ceilings, and light flooding through the bay window. This room offers both a bright and spacious, yet cosy space for everyone to enjoy. There are three large luxurious sofas with an array of side lamps and coffee table. There is a 50'' TV with free view channels to enjoy. In the winter months why not light the wood-burning stove, sit back and relax and enjoy the roaring fire with a glass of wine and good book.

Bedroom 6
Located at the front of the property, this room features a super-king zip and link bed, giving you the option of a super-king bed or two singles. There is a bedside table with three drawers and decorative lamp. There is wonderful atlas feature wallpaper.

First Floor
Partially carpeted stairs with hand rail lead up to the first floor landing area.

Bedroom 1
Located at the front of the property, with views stretching out towards Kings field and marshes. This room features a super-king zip and link bed, giving you the option of a super-king bed or two singles.

Bedroom 2
With front aspect views. This room has a king size bed, with bedside tables and stylish lamps. There is a built in cupboard for your belongings.

First Floor Bathroom
Featuring a bath with over-head shower with shower curtain, wash basin with mirror above, WC and full length heated towel-rail.

Belstead House benefits from an expansive pretty garden with vast space, patio outside the kitchen and rear patio. There is a large spacious patio outside the kitchen with houses a large wooden table seating 12 with a parasol, with a gas BBQ for you to be able to cook and dine alfresco. At the rear of the garden is an additional patio with seating, perfect for enjoying the last of the evening sun with a glass of wine.

At the front of the property is an large driveway accommodating 6 cars.

Belstead House is the perfect backdrop for a photo shoot, or offers a superb location for filming. This relaxed house offers a great retreat for corporate teams to come and have some thinking time, strategy day or host a team meeting.

There is a large full size fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dyer, large wine cooler fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, kettle and toaster.

Surounding Aldeburgh is an array of wonderful locations just awaiting to be explored, these include Southwold's sandy beach and iconic pier, Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Thorpeness with it's meare, and the idyllic Market Towns of Framlingham and Woodbridge.


One well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs only. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. Two dogs are considered, however this is dependent on the breeds, do contact the team on 01728 638962 to discuss further.

Sorry, no smoking, unaccompanied teenagers or the hiring of hot tubs at this property.
