"A short break based in Woodbridge, our first time staying here. The accommodation is lovely. Beautifully decorated with lots of nice touches. The Barn is warm, welcoming and well equipped. We have done lots of walking and enjoyed lunches at The Jolly Sailor in Orford, the Swan at Alderton and the Ramsholt Arms. At each one they served Adnams – a bonus! The food was excellent too! Seen lots of wild life including deer, brown hares and seals as well as many wading birds. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in the area. I’m sure we will be back."
"We have loved our stay in this beautiful Barn. Everything is first class and luxurious. Although it was February, we had a sprinkling of snow and some bright sunny days. We loved the Swan at Alderton, the Maybush at Waldringfield, right on the edge of the river, and the Sorrel Horse, a lovely thatched pub at Shottisham, which is owned by the villagers – lovely food! We will certainly be back again."
“We’ve had a wonderfully relaxing week and Ancient House Barn is beautifully situated and very stylish too! Thank you,"
"Beautiful property in an ideal location. Have loved it. The space is beautiful and the finish superb. As a frequent visitor to Woodbridge – the best so far. We will be back."
"We have thoroughly enjoyed our break at Ancient House Barn. The Barn is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We liked the upstairs down living and the sleeping arrangements are so comfortable. Woodbridge is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. We visited Southwold, Aldeburgh, Orford and walked to Melton along the river. We will definitely be back – Suffolk is beautiful."
"Excellent facilities at Ancient House Barn – we very much enjoyed our stay. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, we loved “upstairs down” living arrangements of bedrooms downstairs as these were nice and cool for bedtime! Great choice of restaurants at Woodbridge, with some lovely shops and nice to wander down the river in the evenings. We visited Snape Maltings, Dunwich for fish and chips, Framlingham, Orford, Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. We will definitely book this lovely barn for next year!"
"We have had yet another fantastic holiday at the Ancient House Barn. It is just soooo comfortable. Our 2 year old has loved exploring Suffolk with us again. We have bought lots of nice books at Browsers, gone swimming in the Deben pool, enjoyed great lunches at the Wild Strawberry Café and loved the cakes from The Cake Shop Bakery. We have sailed our pond yacht and played in park, loved walks along the river and generally had a fabulous time. THANK YOU for the bubbles and making our stay so great. We can’t wait to come back in 6 weeks’ time for our summer holiday and do it all again."
