Admiral's Rest at Aldeburgh

External stairs rise to the front door of Admiral's Rest which opens directly into the living space with the well-equipped kitchen and twin bedrooms at the back, overlooking the marshes. Both bedrooms have en suites with a shower next to the twin and light and airy bathroom for the large master bedroom on the second floor - ideal for two couples!

The Slaughden end of the high street, where this apartment is located, is generally quieter yet within easy walking distance of everything there is to enjoy in the town, with a bench perched on the east facing balcony which runs along the front of the building so you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sun. There's an allocated parking place at the bottom of the steps to the apartment and unrestricted parking close by if you have two cars.

First Floor
Wide stone steps rise from the allocated parking place to the first floor where you’ll find the front door to Admiral’s Rest, opening into the apartment with stairs to the second floor ahead of you and door to the living room to your left. There’s sisal carpet on the stairs, hard flooring elsewhere.

Living/Dining Room
Light yet cosy with big windows overlooking the communal courtyard and a very effective and attractive modern real flame fire with the sound of crackling wood. A generous sofa and chairs with coffee tables and flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player furnish the sitting area, with a dining table and four chairs for meals at home.

Kitchen
Conveniently located next to the dining area with west facing window allowing the evening sun to stream in, this U shaped kitchen is equipped with a Britannia stove with five gas rings and double electric oven, integrated fridge, three drawer freezer, washer/dryer and free standing microwave.

Twin Bedroom
Lovely light twin with wardrobe and chest of drawers.

En Suite Shower Room
With single shower cubicle, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Second Floor
Sisal carpeted stairs rise to the first-floor suite with the bedroom carpeted and bathroom tiled.

Master Bedroom
Light and airy with an east facing window giving a good view of the sea over Coastguard Court’s parking area and neighbouring buildings as well as a west facing velux window giving evening light. The king size bed takes pride of place with bedside drawers and there’s a lovely blanket box positioned under the window plus ample storage in wardrobes and shelves and plenty of books to keep you amused.

En Suite Bathroom
A bright bathroom with velux window above the bath which has central taps and hand shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Outside
Admiral's Rest is on the first and second floors of a small mews of ten flats at the quieter Slaughden/Brudenell end of the high street, with allocated parking for one car and additional parking close by on the high street. There's a private entrance to the apartment and bench perched on the east facing balcony which runs along the front of the building so you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sun.

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This self-catering apartment is equipped with a Britannia stove with five gas rings and double electric oven, integrated fridge, three drawer freezer, washer/dryer and free standing microwave. There's a TV with Freeview and a DVD player in the living room, iPod docking station and WiFi is provided.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

This apartment is positioned at the south end of the High Street, parallel to the Brudenell Hotel so ideal to pop round for a snack on the sea facing terrace or an evening meal at the stylish restaurant. The pebble beach is literally a pebble's throw away and a short stroll up the High Street brings you to Aldeburgh's popular shops, cafes and restaurants.

There are wonderful walks along the coast to Thorpeness passing the famous Scallop shell sculpture to the north or to the Martello Tower to the south; plus pretty walks around the nearby Aldeburgh Marshes and to Snape, just five miles away, with its renowned concert hall, Aldeburgh Music, plus the Maltings with a variety of shops including kitchen, homeware, delicatessen, clothing, furniture and antiques.
