The front door opens into a delightfully furnished cosy lounge with stairs leading to the first floor. A door opens into the well equipped kitchen with exposed brick walls and a back door to the secluded south facing patio, great for a morning coffee! Upstairs, 4 Park Lane has a beautifully furnished contemporary master bedroom, bathroom and a second bedroom with a day bed, ideal for a third adult or converted into two singles - great for children.

Although there’s no allocated parking the street is relatively quiet and guests will be able to park on Park Lane or nearby.


LIVING ROOM - The stable front door opens into a cosy living room with wood burner where the owners invite you to “Have a whale of a time!”. The room, with exposed brick wall and wood floor, well stocked shelves, a comfortable sofa, arm chair and equipment including an IPod docking station, 42” flat screen smart TV with FreeSat channels and DVD player.

Steep cottage carpeted stairs lead up to the first floor landing and a door opens into the kitchen.

KITCHEN/DINING - A bright, well equipped kitchen with terracotta tiled floor, and a range of wall units with integrated fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, electric oven with ceramic hob as well as a free standing microwave. The attractive reclaimed fir flip top table can be extended and is a great spot for any meal, particularly as the room faces south so benefits from lots of sun.

The back door leads from the kitchen to the courtyard garden where a Bosch washing machine and a freezer are housed in the utility room and shed .

FIRST FLOOR - An open staircase with hand rail on one side only leads from the living room to a landing on the first floor.

MASTER BEDROOM - The beautiful reclaimed fir king size bed is a feature of this room, with matching dressing table, stool, mirror and chair. The original exposed wooden floor adds character and there is a window with wooden slatted blinds which faces onto Park Lane, a relatively quite side street. There is ample storage space in two built in wardrobes.

BEDROOM 2 - This bright, south facing room room has a Loaf twofer day bed which is ideal for an adult or can be converted into two low single beds, ideal for young children. A basket chest is provided for storage.

FAMILY BATHROOM - Opening off the landing, guests have a bath with shower over, WC and washbasin. The room has an east facing window so benefits from natural daylight.

OUTSIDE - This delightful terraced holiday cottage is located on Park Lane, a relatively quiet side street close to the heart of Southwold. Although there is no allocated parking, guests will generally be able to find a space close to the cottage where there is on-road unrestricted parking.

The private south facing courtyard, leading off the kitchen, is ideal for enjoying a meal and some privacy in the fresh air.

A utility room, accessed from the courtyard, houses a Bosch washing machine and there is a freezer, giving additional storage, in a shed which is also a great place for storing bikes and beach gear!

4 Park Lane is equipped with gas central heating. Appliances include a 42” smart screen TV with FreeSat, DVD player, WIFI, and an iPod docking station. In the kitchen there is a microwave and integrated appliances including an electric oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, and a fridge with freezer compartment. There is a washing machine in an external utility room and a freezer in a shed in the courtyard.

This self catering cottage in Southwold is located in a terrace of houses, a short walk from the town centre and the popular beach.

The sandy beach of Southwold, a short walk from 4 Park Lane, is adorned with a string of colourful beach huts that lead along to Southwold Pier at one end and towards the Harbour at the other. The town, home to the Adnams Brewery, boasts several excellent pubs and restaurants, including as well as a range of independent shops and galleries.

There is a pretty walk through the harbour and over a footbridge to the picture-postcard village of Walberswick, home to two good pubs (The Anchor and The Bell) and a long sandy beach. Fresh fish can be bought from the fish huts along the harbour.

The cottage stairs are steep and there is only a handrail at one side so guests are asked to consider it’s suitability young children or people with any mobility problems.

A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
