Perfectly situated overlooking Adnams brewery and the lighthouse. The beds were so comfortable we were sad to go back to our own! Also the cleanest house we have ever stayed at. Fantastic welcome pack with lots of yummy treats. Well equipped kitchen. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Only thing that would have been helpful to have was a stair gate to assist with keeping dog downstairs, we had to create a barricade haha! Luckily we brought our dog crate. Other than that we couldn’t fault it. Was the perfect place to spend our 10th wedding anniversary in our favourite place. Thank you for letting us stay, especially as last minute booking due to a leak at the property we were supposed to stay at. Shame we couldn’t stay for an extra night, we did try but Sykes never got back to us unfortunately, after saying they would.

The property
The front door opens directly into a cosy living room with wood burner, in the original fireplace, to warm you after a breezy winter’s walk. The dining room follows with a door to the kitchen, stairs to the first floor and double doors opening into the garden. The bright kitchen is well equipped and a back hall with another door to the garden leads through to the ground floor bathroom. 4 East Green has three bedrooms – with a lovely wooden king size bed in the front bedroom and an adjoining cloakroom with toilet and basin, plus two singles at the back
The garden is divided into two areas with a patio at the front and a gravelled garden at the back with view of the iconic Lighthouse, furnished with a table and chairs. There is no allocated parking for the cottage, however there are a couple of unrestricted places on a first come first served basis at the front.

Oak floor in the living and dining room with tiles in the kitchen and through to the bathroom.
Living Room
Guests are welcomed from East Green directly into this cosy warm living room with wood burner, two leather sofas, coffee table, lamps and there’s a large wall-mounted flat-screen Smart TV and DVD player. The door opens into the dining room.
Dining Room
Furnished with a table and six chairs with an additional two chairs upstairs for visitors. Carpeted stairs rise to the first floor and double doors open onto the garden.
Kitchen
There's a step down from the dining room into this well-equipped modern kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, extractor, dishwasher and washing machine, Kitchen aid coffee machine, kettle and toaster and under counter fridge with icebox.

The picture-postcard wallpaper will keep you entertained whilst using the WC and washbasin!

There’s a step down to this room which has a sturdy wooden full-sized pull out bed for those needing twin occupancy. Two small windows overlook the garden and the iconic lighthouse. There are bedside drawers and a chair.
Outside
4 East Green has a patio area outside the double doors from the dining room, which leads through an arch to a gravelled area with a table and four chairs, with splendid views of the lighthouse.
Please note that the gates here are only for putting the bins out as beyond the gates is a shared garden area with the neighbour.
There’s no allocated parking for the cottage, however there are a couple of spaces on East Green outside the cottage with unrestricted parking on a first-come basis.

Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
