“Fabulous week, this is the best property we have stayed at in Southwold – great house with smashing vibe. Bonus that the weather has been amazing. Recommend fish and chips at the Sole Bay and delicious food at Sole Bay restaurant near the harbour. Suzies café on the promenade is a must too! Our Grandson and dog have enjoyed themselves immensely – Thank you!”
“Glorious week of weather in fabulous Southwold with the privilege of staying at this wonderful property. Love the eclectic artwork as others have said. The house has a wonderful holiday feel. Everything one could need is in the house, we just loved staying here. For eating recommendations: Sole Bay Seafood, North harbour – fabulous fresh seafood. Enzos Pizza – best pizza I have ever had!! The Crown – more formal and very good cooking. The Lighthouse, Aldeburgh – always excellent value. Lord Nelson – great family lunch here.”

Southwold boasts several excellent pubs and restaurants as well as a range of independent shops and galleries. There is a pretty walk through the harbour and over a footbridge to the picture-postcard village of Walberswick, home to two good pubs (The Anchor and The Bell) and a long sandy beach.
Fresh fish can be bought from the fish huts along the harbour. Southwold is home to the Adnams Brewery and the Town’s excellent pubs, including one of our personal favourites, The Lord Nelson - where you can try a range of Adnams bitters.
