21 Park Lane at Aldeburgh

Original sash windows allow the sunlight to stream into the large living room to the left of the long hallway in this typical Victorian terraced house. Stairs rise ahead of you and the classy kitchen/dining room sits at the back, with double doors to the garden. All three bedrooms are a good size, two with king size beds and one with en suite shower room; the attic bedroom has twin beds and easy access to the big bathroom off the first floor landing.

A garden is an added bonus in Aldeburgh and this one is fully enclosed and has two tables with chairs so you can catch the sun throughout the day, with ample lawn for the children to play. There’s unrestricted roadside parking outside the house and in the vicinity.

Ground floor:
You know you’re somewhere special when you walk through the front door into the long hall with two doors to the living room on your left and the carpeted stairs and kitchen ahead of you. There’s plenty of space for footwear and to hang coats on shaker pegs. Floors are painted wood, other than the kitchen which is vinyl.

Kitchen/Dining Room
A lovely light and spacious room with picture window overlooking the garden and double doors giving easy access for outside dining, with a modern table inside with six chairs for eating inside. Units sit along two sides with a built in electric oven with separate grill, five ring gas hob with extractor, super big fridge/freezer with four drawers, dishwasher, washing machine and free-standing microwave.

Living Room
The sun streams in through the big bay window with more daylight from the sash window at the back overlooking the garden. This elegant room wouldn’t look out of place in an interior design magazine, beautifully light and stylish; furnished with a couple of sofas, occasional chairs and a foot stool and a small table with stools - ideal for using as a desk and a wood burner to take the chill off in cooler months. The bookcase is loaded with books, magazines, DVDs and games for you to enjoy and there’s a TV with DVD player and a stereo system for your entertainment.

First floor
Carpeted stairs rise to the first floor which, other than the bathrooms which have painted wooden floors, is also carpeted.

Master Bedroom
An incredibly spacious bedroom with two big windows overlooking Park Lane. The bed is a king size and has a chest of drawers to one side and dressing table/desk to the other; there’s a small bookcase, bench style seat and wardrobe.

En Suite
A big en suite with double shower cubicle with both rain and hand showers, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and light coming through the glazed door.

Guest Bedroom
Sitting quietly at the back of 21 Park Lane, with a wooden king size bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, chair and a large wardrobe.

Bathroom
A big bathroom, easily accessible for the guest and twin bedrooms, with large bath, shower rose and hand shower over, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail, chair and natural light from the wide sash window.

Second Floor
Carpeted stairs rise to the landing and twin bedroom, all carpeted and there’s a glimpse of the sea and church over the rooftops.

Twin Bedroom
This attic bedroom has sturdy wooden beds with an attractive chest of drawers between them plus an additional chest of drawers, shelves with a choice of reading material and a futon bed. The window overlooks the garden.

Outside
Park Lane runs between Alde Lane and The Terrace, with unrestricted parking in front of this mid terraced self-catering cottage and in the neighbouring roads. The long garden is fully enclosed, mostly laid to lawn with a patio next to the house, furnished with a table and six chairs and a second one, catching the sun earlier in the day, at the bottom of the garden. There’s a shed where you can shelter bikes if you prefer and a path runs along the back to give access without going through the house, and a BBQ for summer use.

This self-catering holiday cottage is equipped with central heating and appliances include a TV with FreeSat, DVD player, Wifi and stereo system. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven with separate grill, five ring gas hob with extractor, super big fridge/freezer with four drawers, dishwasher, washing machine and free-standing microwave.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

Aldeburgh is a fashionable seaside town for family holidays and short breaks and this elegant holiday home is perched at the top of the Town Steps which descend to the bustling high street and through to the promenade which stretches along the pebble beach from Slaughden at one end to Thorpeness at the other, bordered by the iconic colourful seaside houses and the fisherman's huts, where you can buy fresh fish. There's a wide range of shops, boutiques, galleries, an independent cinema, restaurants, cafes, pubs and hotels along the high street.

Renowned for its cultural history, guests can enjoy a range of activities in the town and at nearby Snape Maltings, with the Annual Festival for Music, art exhibitions, literary and poetry festivals.

There are also stunning sea and landscapes to be enjoyed on walks around the lowland marshes and heathland, the coastal path to Thorpeness and wonderful Sailors Path to Snape, with opportunities for sailing, golfing and cycling locally as well - something for all the family!

A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.
