New village shop in Badingham

We were delighted that a new village shop and cafe, staffed by an enthusiastic team of local volunteers, officially opened in the village of Badingham, close to Best of Suffolk’s office today.  Local MP Dan Poulter cut the ribbon to officially open it and then everyone was served with elderflower cordial and homemake cakes that were quite delicious!

The shop is well worth a visit if you are passing through Badingham on a weekday lunchtime.  As well as paninis, sandwiches and homemade cakes, they sell a range of other interesting things made or produced by local people from handcrafts and woollen jumpers to vegetables grown on local allotments.  Well done to project organiser Tanya and her team.  Do pop in and say hello to them and enjoy a cuppa and cake!

Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 11am to 1pm
