STAY IN SUFFOLK THIS MAY

Abi Charter, Marketing Manager

Abi will make the most of the May half-term week with activities for her and her five-year-old son, Monty…

“We’ll be sure to take a picnic on Beccles Quay and hit the play park, watching the boats and feeding the ducks – a relatively low-cost but full day out!

Another day will be spent collecting shells on Southwold beach, followed up by an ice cream treat on the Pier and the crazy mirrors.

Framlingham Castle is always worth a trip, exploring the Castle on the Hill and witnessing the Knight’s tournament.”

Annette Mason-Gordon, Property Recruitment

With twins returning from university for the half-term, Annette Mason-Gordon, is keen to make the most of their time back home in Suffolk and will be enjoying the beautiful coast and countryside to it’s fullest…

“We’ll spend a good amount of time out and about walking – generally with a pub lunch thrown in!  The Sailors Path Walk with lunch at The Plough and Sail in Snape, or a walk along the disused railway track to The Dolphin in Thorpeness and then back along the beach to Aldeburgh.

My daughter and I enjoy a spinning or box fit class, so we’ll head to Mint Fitness in either Southwold or Aldeburgh (and they’re in the Best of Suffolk Loyalty Club) – or something more relaxing like hot yoga!

I’m a keen sea swimmer, so I’ll be trying to persuade my kids to join me!  Open water swimming can actively improve your health and wellness; relaxing muscles, relieving stress and promoting deep sleep.  I’m sure it’s a cure for hangovers too!  With so much stunning Suffolk coast line to choose from there really is no getting out of it (for them)!

Hannah Glennon, Performance and Pricing Lead

Still celebrating being recently married, Hannah Glennon, will be enjoying extra time over the two Bank Holidays in May with her new husband in romantic Suffolk…

“We’ll head out to enjoy lunch at The Sail Loft near the harbour in Southwold and make the most of the outside space.  Then a walk around shops in Southwold, finished off by a double scoop of delicious ice-cream at Harris & James.

An all-time favourite of ours is heading out to Oulton Broad and enjoying the beautiful views of the river sat at The Commodore.  Fabulous food, live entertainment and we love to watch the amazing sunsets!

We’re both keen cyclists, so will head out on our bikes around the countryside.  Framlingham, Dunwich and Sizewell are great for biking adventures!  There are some great bike hire companies, (try Velo Hire who offer Best of Suffolk Loyalty Club guests 10% discount) and plenty of cycle routes in Suffolk, so it’s easy to get on your bike and explore!
