The property
A sun-room awaits you on the ground floor, giving plenty of space for your beach gear, with stairs rising to the first floor. The huge living room, with bay window with view of the sea to the side, dining room and adjacent kitchen are all on this floor, together with a double bedroom and bathroom. Three more good-sized bedrooms sit at the front of the house on the second floor with easy access to another family bathroom and a TV room.
Walton House has a small courtyard and you can park in roads close by.
Ground floor:
You’re welcomed into a sun-room with ample space to leave beach gear, buggies etc., followed by an inner hall with hooks for coats and place for footwear.
First floor
Carpeted stairs rise to a half landing where the 1st bathroom is and up three more stairs to the remainder of the first floor. There’s also a step up to each room.
Bathroom
Wet room style shower room, with shower, wash basin and WC.
Living Room
Beautiful big room with bay window giving a view of the sea to the east and market square to the west. This elegant room with high ceilings has been furnished to a high standard ready for you to enjoy from the summer of 2017 onwards.
Dining Room
A lovely room for relaxed dining with enormous sturdy table, chairs and bench seating around three sides. Sitting next to the kitchen this is also a great place for the kids to do paint some pebbles or do some colouring and for anyone needing to do a spot of work.
Kitchen
This room with wonderful double height beamed ceiling and sash window overlooking the courtyard, has been extensively renovated with the addition of a well-equipped shaker style kitchen where the chef in the family can cook up a storm (or simply unwrap fish and chips from across the road!).
Bedroom 1
Sitting on the first floor with a step up from the dining room, this room has a lovely bay window giving you a view of the sea to one side and the market square to the other. The room’s furnished with a double bed, bedside cabinets, a wash stand and enormous wardrobe. An ornamental fireplace and tongue and groove panels add a charming seaside touch.
Second Floor
From the first floor landing the stairs rise to the second floor with a half landing giving access to the bathroom, 2nd half landing with couple of steps down to the TV room and then up to the three bedrooms.
Bathroom
Another good-sized bathroom with bath and hand held shower attachment, WC, wash basin and light streaming in through the south facing window .
TV Room
Great for kids needing to have time without the grown-ups or any member of the family wanting a bit of peace and quiet, this cosy room will be furnished with an arm chair, bean bags, TV and DVD player.
Bedroom 2
All three bedrooms are a good size and enjoy views of the Lighthouse over the rooftops through the original sash windows. This room’s furnished with twin beds, bedside units, a dressing table with chair, ample storage in the wardrobe with drawer beneath and an ornamental fireplace.
Bedroom 3
Furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet and hooks for your clothes.
Bedroom 4
With super king zip/link bed which can be set up as a twin on request, bedside drawers between them, chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
Outside
Walton House is perched above the shop Break on East Street with entrance sandwiched between the shop and Kids Joules. The Little Fish and Chip shop, Seasalt, Nutters Deli and The Lord Nelson pub tantilisingly close; plus W H Smith for your morning paper and the Co-Op for a little more!
There’s an enclosed courtyard, furnished with outdoor table and chairs, where you can relax and enjoy a spot of sun, away from the hustle and bustle of the high street if you wish. There’s no allocated parking at the house, however you can park outside the door for 30 minutes, close by in nearby roads.
Please note the shop on the ground floor has right of access through the courtyard garden.

Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
