“I booked the house for my wife's 80th birthday, with my sons and grandchildren staying for the celebration, for which it was perfect.”

The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Having four bathrooms was beneficial. The back garden had all day sun, ideal for sitting out to socialise.

“Samphire house was very comfortable and clean.”

It is very well equipped and we enjoyed staying there. The only suggestion would be a better instruction book rather than just the instruction manuals . Apart from that a perfect house. Thank you for having us

“Very nice property in a great central location and we had a lovely time in a friendly house, kitchen well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment for a large group.”

Cosy front living room and large dining table, showers good and hot. Areas to improve - at over 3k for a weeks stay we would have expected more than one toilet roll per bathroom for a week for 8 people and not to go out to buy own; need more than 2 tea towels to last the week, even with the washing machine; dishwasher front door spring faulty; coffee machine didnt work; no firelighters or kindling provided for the advertised fire to get you going on first night when shops are closed; confusing "touch screen" induction hub although looks nice was a pain to use and control for us older folk; integrated microwave/oven unit really confusing to use; parking drive way handy but tiny and hard to get car in between brick wall entrance (especially when people park opposite on road); being asked to strip all the beds/duvets/pillows for a group of 8 and be out by 10am and clean up (at 3k per week) is a bit of a cheeky ask (we still did it to help the cleaner); more than one house key would be handy. Hope this feedback help. Otherwise a very nice house and location.

“This is a lovely property and even managed to sit outside.”

Of note the double bed mattress downstairs could do with replacing as my mother found it extremely difficult to get out of bed. The king mattress upstairs - I gotta get me one of those. Thank you for replacing the TV in the front lounge :-) New sofa in family area is comfy as well. Furniture however is a bit old in the lounge, less furniture is more if you know what I mean - just a little bit more modern.

“Samphire House was perfect for our little family reunion.”

Every bedroom has its own bathroom and my mother (age 87) was very comfortable in her ground floor room with en-suite shower. The house is so comfortable, with space for everyone to congregate in the kitchen/living room and a separate cosy sitting room for those who wanted a quieter space to relax. It has a very well-stocked kitchen, a lovely garden and an enviable location, just off the high street with parking for two cars. We enjoyed fabulous early morning walks on the beach and shopping and eating out in lovely Southwold. It is also ideally situated to enjoy other nearby coastal villages and beaches. A perfect stay for us!

“This property is perfectly located for everything in southwold.”

Easy walking access to all amenities.We managed to get two small cars on the drive.An option to zip beds together would benefit the property. We found the couches and sofas a little uncomfortable. We had a fabulous stay and would return.

“A spacious house with good size rooms.”

Very nice kitchen with an abundance of mugs but a lack of kitchen knives/bread knife etc. so it's difficult if you want toast or sandwiches with 'proper' bread! The proximity to Adnams' shop right next door (which you cannot see from the photo) occasions a stream of early morning delivery vans slamming doors etc and also the front door of the house is loose in its frame and rattles loudly when the wind blows.

The property offers spacious accommodation across two floors, perfect for groups of families and friends to enjoy. The property boasts two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor, with an additional two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor. Outside is a walled enclosed garden with space to enjoy dining alfresco. At the front of the property is a private parking space. Ground Floor Kitchen/Dining/Living Room Light and bright open plan layout, perfect for you to come together and enjoy quality time. Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
