Kathrin “Lovely well appointed property.”
Well equipped kitchen. Very clean and well decorated. Ceiling light in sitting room needs replacement bulbs and pillows in my room were lumpy and could do with replacing, but these may not have been reported before. On a quiet road close to the seafront. A lovely house for a family stay.

Shelley “We had an absolutely amazing week at Lighthouse View (it is a shame it is not bookable for 2026!”
!!!) The property has everything and more and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting round the table in the kitchen, cooking, laughing and playing games. Newly renovated - we felt special to be able to be one of the first to stay in this amazing holiday home. My mother felt like "the queen" in the master bedroom - its a bed you can completely disappear in! Just a couple of things - a full length mirror at the top of the second flight of stairs would be beneficial and an ideal place to put it - the pillows (especially in the top double bed) were extremely lumpy - some cushions for the outside bench would be nice
- Shelley, July 2025Juliet “I stayed in the lighthouse view house with other family members for our annual Southwold holiday.”
The house has been newly renovated and has been done to a really high spec especially the downstairs kitchen. It’s a perfect space for gatherings and the bi-folding doors to the garden make it much more airy and spacious. The rest of the house is a good size for a large group with 4 double / twin bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with a downstairs toilet. A few observations that would make the house even better - we couldn’t seem to get the live tv channels to work so had to log into apps; the en-suite bathroom window didn’t open so got a bit stuffy; and some folding garden furniture would make it easier to sit outside particularly for large groups. Overall it’s a great house for a large group and perfectly located for the Southwold area.
- Juliet, July 2025Judith “Love what’s been done to the house.”
Great facilities and very well equipped. Only criticism could make back garden more attractive.
- Judith, June 2025Poppy “Lovely property, kitchen and living room newly renovated to a great standard- ...”
Lovely property, kitchen and living room newly renovated to a great standard- suited us perfectly for our group and young children Things to make the house feel more like a home from home - radio or similar in the kitchen, small outdoor seating set for the garden, full length mirror in one of the bedrooms required, somewhere to hold shampoos etc in all of the showers, TV was not fully working - no ariel so only Netflix worked
- Poppy, May 2025Alex “Gosh what a beautiful home.”
Not only was it incredibly family friendly, the house had everything you needed for a weekend away and more. We had such a great time and can’t wait to book again!
- Alex, May 2025Julia “Lovely spacious clean property.”
Best location we have ever had in terms of near to sea shops pubs etc. Perfect for large grown up family. Suggest a washing line for drying out swimming gear and towels every day (not good for environment or cost of tumble dryer) and improving the back yard with some flowers, pots and shrubs. Would recommend. Loved Southwold. Thanks!
- Julia, August 2023David “Lovely property at a great location.”
- David, June 2023Julia “We enjoyed our stay in a warm, well located and equipped home.”
The start was marred by a full kitchen bin that must have been missed by the cleaner and been there for a long time as it was oozing mould spores and decomposition froth. With an asthmatic guest it meant I had to send my family out to eat - really, really difficult on Good Friday without a reservation - while I cleaned and aired the kitchen dining room. When reported the next day, the agency were apologetic but I had to ask to be compensated for the lost evening family meal and the additional expense. The owners were responsive however (via the agency, no direct contact or apology) and the matter resolved amicably. I would happily stay again.
