“We assumed being dog friendly, we would find at least 1 dog waste bin.”
Not the case, had to go in our general waste. Also on the subject of waste, we had no way of getting our rubbish to main gate until we got picked up on day of departure as we got a lift to and from lodge. Consequently we had a weeks worth of rubbish accumulated. Would also of liked to have seen somewhere to walk the dog apart from round the lodges and down track. We can't walk far as in our 80's, but to be able to get in the wooded area would have been nice. A few issues in the lodge, rodent droppings, electrics, kitchen tap came off but on the whole it was a very comfortable stay. A few more instructions left in lodge would have been good too, concerning waste and departure. Rang a taxi to go into aldeburgh but ÂŁ45 each way for a 2.1 mile trip, was a bit extravagant!
Dear Mrs Ann Walmsley,
We are disappointed to hear that Owl’s Retreat did not fully meet your expectations. We can assure you that we have dealt with the issues you have raised regarding the inside of the lodge, and can only apologise wholeheartedly for any inconvenience caused.
We can confirm that there are many beautiful walks in the local area, but they are accessed outside of the boundary of the lodge park. We were sorry to hear that you were unable to enjoy these during your stay.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.
Kind Regards,
Olivia Nicholson
