“A nice large bungalow, with every convenience.”

Washing machine was faulty. This was sorted very fast with minimum of fuss. The main sofa, whilst large & was probably very expensive when new, was deemed uncomfortable by all the house guests. Excellent location & recommendec.

“Property very much in need of some attention.”

Driveway and frontage - weedy, unkempt and dirty - not v inviting; Lawn - weedy and uneven; Bathrooms v cold and smell of damp - ensuite shower the size of a phone box with less room to manoeuvre; Bulbs out - not changed from previous review; Upholstery, rugs and paintwork dirty; Coffee table covered in dust; Window in front bedroom doesn't close properly. Appliances need good cleaning, radiators need bleeding. Whole house needs a deep clean. Sadly a nice extension doesn't make up for the general neglect and lack of maintenance. There is also building work being done on property directly opposite - of which we weren't informed - so 7:30 alarm was pile driving, kango-ing, reverse alarms etc. We found Suffolk to be lovely and will visit again, but won't be coming back to this property.

“Large lovely bungalow and garden.”

Could do with a better clean and investigation into the damp smell in the side twin bedroom. Maintenance were very prompt in attending the rain leaking through the dining room roof and replacing the toilet seat in bathroom. Wendy House was a bonus for grandson but too many spiders webs and needs a lot of tlc.

“Little Wissett has the potential to be a fantastic holiday home but needs a lot of TLC and a deep clean the double bed needs renewing too creaky to sleep on.”

One single bed needs replacing, garden seating needs to be fixed .Garden was too overgrown with weeds broken ,seeds of weeds everywhere my poor dog was covered from head to toe.Wendy house and shed broken and covered with weeds. patio area unswept.In the bungalow cobwebs everywhere everything that moved was dirty behind with dead flies and dirt.shower in en-suite so small my poor father. Couldn’t get in. In the kitchen very well appointed we thought spent money on coffee pods but machine leaking and not working Grill on cooker not working .so very disappointed looking at the photos when we booked were expecting a fabulous time in your holiday home.If the issues were addressed it would definitely be a fabulous home.we made the best of the beautiful area.and fantastic weather.

“It was quite cold in the house when we got there.”

It did warm up when we turned the heating up. One of the single beds in the bedroom opposite the main bedroom is broken. The slats have collapsed. The cleaner must have noticed that when making the bed. Otherwise the house is very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. It was nicely decorated for Christmas.

“Overall your property was ideal for our needs.”

There was plenty of space throughout the house and the garden was perfect for all of us and our dog. We had an incident where two of the single beds collapsed due to wear and tear. You responded very promptly to our phone call and attended to carry out a repair, stating this had been mentioned to the owners in the past. We felt that the property could have been a little cleaner, there were dead flies/spiders and cobwebs around the lounge and the large rug in the lounge was dirty. However we found the kitchen very well stocked and appointed. The kitchen and bathrooms were exceptionally clean. In conclusion we had a very enjoyable stay.

“The bungalow was beautifully equipped, clean and very well decorated.”

It was beautiful and we had a lovely four nights there with our friends. One of the reasons I chose it, was because the enclosed garden was ideal for our dog and it was a lovely garden, just a little unfortunate that it was too cold for us to to sit out at all during the week we were there. There was only one slight disappointment and that was the shower above the bath in the main bathroom , we felt it could have been a nicer more powerful, updated option. As it was, we all ended up using the shower in the ensuite as it was a far superior one. But overall it was a beautiful place to stay and yes we would return.

“Overall the bungalow was clean & comfortable and the living accommodation very spacious.”

However we’re not happy about the boiler having a fault code and having to be reset 4 times a day. Thankfully my husband is a heating engineer so was able to manage the problem during our stay. Clearly though this should have been fixed and you shouldn’t expect guests to maintain the problem during their vacation.

Little Wissett is a single storey self-catering property with massive open plan living space at the heart of it with sitting room leading through to the light and airy dining/sun room which has bifold doors to the patio - wonderful indoor/outdoor living. The well-equipped kitchen sits to one side with utility room and one of the bedrooms with modern family bathroom. A palatial master bedroom with luxurious en suite sits at the other side with two other bedrooms. Positioned in a tranquil setting on the edge of Aldeburgh within a short walk to the town's vibrant High Street and beach, this recently renovated bungalow sits back from a relatively quiet road with a shingle drive providing parking for four cars. A huge enclosed rear garden is ideal for relaxing on the sunny patio furnished for al fresco dining and steps to the lawn, flanked by hedgerow fencing and mature trees, with a cute play house for 'little guests'. Ground Floor There's wood flooring through the majority of the property with a sleek marble floor in the dining area and carpet in the bedrooms. Hall You're welcomed into the hall with space for coats and footwear. Doors open to the living space, two of the bedrooms and the family bathroom accessed from the hall at the front of Little Wissett. The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!
