“Firstly, great a house and we made wonderful family memories there.”

Beds were very comfortable and the surprise was the downstairs cloakroom, as its not mentioned in the details. Some recommendations: 1) a microwave would be handy 2) a parasol for the deck would be great, its in full sun and on our stay it was 29C, had to sit inside 3) we had to descale the shower head to get the shower to work, never ever got the overhead head to work. The stairs can be a bit awkward for those with walking problems. That should be mentioned. All in all we had a great time and would recommend it and Sykes for cottage holidays.

Hill House is truly an idyllic property in Ramsholt with some of the most spectacular views across the River Deben, its position is one that is hard to beat. A beautiful detached country house awaits, an ideal property for family and friends to enjoy a self-catered tranquil retreat in a stunning part of Suffolk. Hill House is just a short walk from Ramsholt dock, which offers a unique riverside beach, as well as a fantastic, dog-friendly, gastro-pub. Hill House is a home from home and has everything you need to switch off, relax, and enjoy the great outdoors and views on offer. The ground floor compromises of a beautiful double aspect sitting room complete with wood-burning stove, and a spacious dining room that is located just off of the bespoke kitchen. On the first floor are four comfortable and generously sized bedrooms, consisting of a mixture of super-kings and twin bedrooms, allowing a mix of family and friends to enjoy this wonderful holiday home. There is also a family bathroom with an overhead shower located on the first floor. Ground Floor Entering through the rear of the property into the spacious utility room, a space perfect for boots, coats and bags to be stored. A mixture of tiles and wooden flooring run throughout the ground floor. Kitchen A modern, bespoke, L-shaped kitchen awaits the chef of the party to enjoy. Mod-con's include an electric oven with four ring induction hob and extractor fan above, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. There is a beautiful double butler sink positioned to enjoy the idyllic views on offer. Utility Room A great space for shoes and coats to be stored. This room also has a washing machine and tumble dryer for guests to use. Bedroom 2 Another room with incredible views of the River Deben, this room is perfect for both adults and children to enjoy as it offers a super-king bed which can be made up a two single beds. There are two bedside tables with stylish lamps, and a chest of drawers for your belongings. Family Bathroom A modern bathroom suite, featuring a bath with large overhead rainfall shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Bedroom 3 Offering garden views, this room features two single beds with bedside table and lamp. There is a built in cupboard for your belongings. Bedroom 4 A charming room with two single beds, bedside table and lamp. Please note these beds are low to the ground so may not be suitable for all. Outside Hill House offers a large spacious garden which wraps around the property. The garden is mainly laid to lawn, with vast decking wrapping round the property, complete with table and chairs and wood-burning hot tub. Perfect for enjoying an evening glass of wine or for dining alfresco, all whilst taking in the tranquility and views on offer. Ample parking is available through the gate towards the rear of the property. Please note the parking is on grass. Ramsholt Located in the quiet yet easily accessible village of Ramsholt, near Woodbridge, Hill House offers accommodation just a short walk away from the fantastic dog-friendly gastro-pub, The Ramsholt Arms. Offering mouth-watering food with a riverside view. Please note they do close for January. Local Area Located just 15 minutes drive away is the charming market town of Woodbridge. Take a walk through the thoroughfare and enjoy the array of idyllic independent ships, cafes and restaurants on offer. Woodbridge also allows you to enjoy the River Deben, with an array of boats both moored and sailing. In addition, all within a 30 minute drive, are Aldeburgh, Shingle Street, Orford, Rendlesham/Tunstall Forest, Sutton Hoo and many many more. Why not discover Suffolk on foot/bike?
