“The property had very nice towels & bedding & lots of kitchen equipment- BUT there were only 5 or 6 mugs for 4 people.”
There were some cups and saucers ( not what most people use these days) We also had to wash the mugs and plates before use with the tiny amount of washing up liquid that was there!
There were no instructions for the TV…no manual & the owner’s welcome book merely stated that it was “self explanatory “- it certainly wasn’t. We phoned Sykes who reported this to the owner. We did manage to get BBC l- player but that was all! No live TV for the week!
A week or so before the holiday we saw the weather forecast was predicting extremely hot conditions.We phoned Sykes to enquire if there were any fans at the property. The owner said there weren’t but we could bring our own!! 4 adults were travelling in l car…no room for fans!! Surely having seen the expected temperatures & noted our enquiry the owner could have bought some (or arranged for somebody else if they don’t live locally) lt would have made sleeping conditions so much more comfortable for us.With hot weather occurring more regularly perhaps all properties should be obliged to provide fans…
The house is a good base for visiting places.Shops & supermarkets are nearby. Park & Ride into lpswich is also close.
