“I write this review as a less able bodied guest.”
As a less able bodied elderly gentleman, I found the entrance difficult. There is a step up to the outside door (not really such a problem), a step over into the porch area, and another step over into the actual accommodation. Difficult for someone unsteady on their feet.

Whilst the accommodation is big and spacious - and very light with it's big windows, I found the furniture difficult to get up from. Quality leather furniture, but...too low for me and the seats also had a slight backward lean, once sat down. I ended up sitting in the sun chair I bought with me, as I found it easier to get up from. Also, after dropping some crisps on the sofa, I wiped it down - and the cloth afterwards was filthy! I'm guessing the sofas had not been polished in a while.
Bathroom is not good. A doll's house sized triangular sink in the corner is a bit ridiculous, to be honest. Shower has no rail to hold on to, so I couldn't have one during my entire week's stay.
Kitchen nice and spacious. Fridge for me was too low for easy access.
Bed was super comfortable.
As I said, I write this as a less able bodied person, to give those of a similar ilk a head's up. For people without issues, I'm sure some of the things mentioned would be just fine!
I liked having the big green area outside. Nice and quiet, and when the sun came out, it was very nice there.
Thank you.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re genuinely pleased that you enjoyed the peaceful setting, the spacious accommodation, and the comfort of the bed.
We’re also grateful for your perspective as a less able‑bodied guest. While our listing doesn’t advertise the property as step‑free or adapted for limited mobility, we do understand that everyone’s needs are different, and your comments help others decide whether the layout is suitable for them.
Regarding the points you raised:
• Entrance steps: The property does have a small number of steps, which are shown in the listing photos and description. We appreciate that these may feel more challenging for guests with reduced mobility.
• Furniture height: The leather sofas are standard height and style, but we understand that what feels comfortable can vary greatly depending on individual mobility. We’re sorry they weren’t the right fit for you.
• Sofa cleaning: We take cleanliness very seriously, and the sofas are cleaned regularly. We’ll certainly double‑check them to ensure they meet our usual standards.
• Bathroom layout: The bathroom is compact, and while fully functional, it isn’t designed as an accessible space. We appreciate you highlighting this for guests who may require additional support features such as grab rails.
• Kitchen and fridge height: Again, these are standard fittings, but we understand that accessibility needs can differ.
We’re glad that despite these challenges, you enjoyed the quiet outdoor space and had a comfortable stay overall.
